You're still around? I never hear from you anymore. Maybe if you still said hi every once in awhile you'd be going tonight. :-b

Don't worry Sotaka, I'll be more than happy to take you on the next run. :-) I can't wait to hear you gripe the whole time about pulling with Finale though. LoL And throw out all your party alignment ideas. I intend to have the skeles dead before all that. ;-)

BTW, Thorrn, HrdCor, Meign, Nako, any of you HL Monks that have experience at bone parties around this level (67), please feel free to chime in with advice, tactics, locations, etc. Currently I'm looking at Gustav Tunnel at F-9 hallway on the doom guardians and warlocks I believe it is.

It's my first REAL (Me, Nakomaru, and someone else did one ******** around one time for fun) bone party so I'm going off my homework vs. experience. Feel free to enlighten me. :-b

I made a bone party once in the Citidel in the 50s.

I'm fairly sure your experience will be similar to that, and most of these things are obvious anyway but here goes.

1) Make sure the mage skeletons are dispelled. Paralyze is not fun.

2) If you don't have a blm to stun the ancient magic, the bard should cast lulluby. Even if the mob only falls asleep for a second it till stops casting.

3) If at all possiable, keep the mages out of range of blood saber. When a skeleton hits 6 people with it, and regains nearly all its health no one's happy about it.

4) Devine Seal + blinda is very important when you and your Monk friends don't have Chakra ready. I don't personally know if it's worth useing Chakra to just cure blindness, but I always did.

5) Skeletons don't link, but blood aggro is a very real thing. Keep your tank away from the cave entrance while fighting.

OK, so I know most of that is obvious already, but I'm bored and wanted to be helpful.

Good luck, Leet.

leet, hurry up and get to 72ish, then you'll be able to do a roaming bone party :-P

and SA -> RF -> DK, should do more than 2k damage, get the closer to sub thf and boost a few times, and watch for 1400 + 1800 light ^.^

I have THF leveled to 45 so I could technically sub it, but it's such a pain to get everything lined up right. LoL I did DK for 1300 on Tomb Warriors with a 1700 SC bonus using WAR sub. I about crapped myself. LoL.

Yeah I can't wait to see Asuran Fists opening that SC but we'll see. I hate leveling but I'm thoroughly excited about doing a bone party. It just sounds a lot more fun than the traditional exp pt.

I just need to confirm Dahlgren, grab a WHM and another MNK or BLM. If those fail, I have a RDM friend that could be very helpful with Dispel, Haste, and Refresh on the PLD.

This is the first time I've looked forward to leveling in awhile. LoL

Thanks for the heads up, Nobi. I'll have to find a PLD or maybe even a NIN then. I'd rather have a PLD for Holy Circle though. I love seeing "The Doom Warlock is intimidated by Leetfade's presence."

I just /comfort then punch him in the face. :-b

Well, even though we only had 2 monks, I still had fun with it. I have a WHM that is wanting to go tomorrow if you're interested Typo.

Sotaka, would you be able to pt tomorrow? If not, I'll ask my LS BRD.

We're still looking for another Monk between 66 and 68 to join a bone party. With only 2, we were killing pretty quickly and had fun doing it. With 3, we'll destroy skeles with ease. If we can get chain 4 and handle links with only 2 monks, I would hate to see what 3 would bring.

I'll need a PLD and a MNK to fill in so if you're interested, please let me know.

Done. See if you can get a bit more exp as you're going to struggle connecting on some of them. We'll just put you as the guy doing Spinning Attack. :-b

WOohoo! 3 monks. Time for some {Skeleton}{Owner}{fun} Typo!

Any Paladins care to join us?

What time are you planning on bones fisting? >_> I'll try and keep that timeframe clear for tommarow (I'm pretty sure my LS doesn't have anything planned tommarow, at least.)

6-10PM EST. Provided everyone can make it. :-b

If we get going with the 3 monks, I think we can turn 17.5k pretty easily and I'll get to level for the first time in a LONG time. LoL /hurray.

You will be one busy taru though! And no griping. I'll just start throwing wizard cookies at you. LoL

Sounds good to me, and this is for tommarow? >_>

Also, I'll be too full from eating tea or flint cavier >_>

LoL Yes tomorrow. Provided I hear back from Typo. :-b I have a WHM, Me, You, Bartman, and hopefully the midget boxer. We'll just need to pick up a PLD (Or even a NIN really) and head to Gustav. You'll be my pulling and madrigal slave for the evening. :-b

Sadly didnt do many bone parties in the 60s... I tried one at 65 and we agreed it was a bit low. The bones should be VT for you to get the full rewards of long chains. If you are all 66-67, and if sotaka behaves, you should do just fine due to the innate monkly nature to thrive there ^^

My only real advice is to not even consider it without a bard. I tried a bone party without a bard and the dynamics totally changed. In 99% of parties you can sub a rdm and brd around, but in bone parties it has to be a bard (or both... later on when you roam rdm + brd in same party is ideal ^^).

So no bard = Go to bibiki bay ^^

Only other advice is to make sure everyone is well stocked on supplies and have 6+ hours available. Time really flies, but the whole thing comes crashing to a halt if you have to hunt for 2 hrs looking for mnk or brd replacement. The whole party tends to collapse if one of those jobs leave.

We already have the party set at MNK, MNK, MNK, BRD, WHM, PLD and we're starting at 6-10. We have the camp, the party, and are ready to go so no ******** around. LoL.

We went last time with PLD, BRD, SMN, RDM, MNK, MNK. We actually did surprisingly well for our first time trying it and only having 2 real DDs. The fights were too long for what we were doing but everyone did their jobs well and we were still getting C4 and turned out 11k exp. Tonight should be a LOT better with 3 monks and no need to wait for the PLD for L3 Light. :-b

Doh.. I just remembered, Dahlgren couldn't pt tonight so the Tank position is still open. Currently taking applications. :-b The rest of the pt is filled and ready to go.

Leetfade psychs up along side Typo.

Leet I don't think you should put me as spinning attack..... I have unbelievable bad luck with AoE WS.

Like last time i used it was in Bibiky Bay and we were doing an SC with me using Spinning Attack.

WE all assumed the mobs were too far away for my AoE to even reach them, so we began.

I was at 100% TP and used the suddenly I read:

Bartman hits Catoblepas (our target) for 120 dmg.
Bartman hits Tragopan for 120 dmg.
Bartman hits catoblepas for 120 dmg.
Bartman hits Hobgoblin Martialartist for 120 dmg.

>,<;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

I still couldn't believe I hit mobs that were like 55 feet away from our camp.

So if you want lol ill still use it but just a warning lol. Don't blame me when 50 skellies and a scorp come ramming down our party.

Trust me you'll be fine at this camp. It's in a tunnel. You are the lowest level and have the least STR (no offense) so we'll need to have the bigger hitters at the end. I gave up Dragon Kick to Typo because he has better gear than me. LoL

The only thing that will change the order is if I decide to be stupid and sub THF. I highly doubt that will happen though as it cuts my consistent damage to 1/3. I was hitting around 500 pretty consistently with Raging Fists so I think I'll just stick to that and let the midget boxer turn kickboxer. :-b

On a side note, I can't wait to try this out with 3 monks. LoL. Sotaka, you are going to be one busy taru. If you see ancient magic you'll have to use lullaby to stun him. We're just going to have to kill fast enough to avoid the Thundaga IIIs. :-b
#49 Aug 02 2005 at 11:44 AM Rating: Decent
Last I checked, Lullaby doesn't stop the AM if you wake it up before a certain point. However, I'm not 100% sure about this (I know it doesn't work on Dvoive)

Anyways, to silence it, after a pull I can toss an Etude on the WHM. Hopefully they have some enfeebling skill, else we be screwed.

Our WHM (Dvldwg) is pretty good. I think he probably has some decent enfeeb skill.

I read the lullaby trick on the monk forums when I was reading up on bone parties. I guess we'll find out tonight. :-b

Just with me and Typo we barely ever stopped punching. LoL. I doubt that lullaby will be on for more than a second.

Just as a heads up. I get off work at 5PM, have a chiropractor appt at 5:15, then have to pick up my car. I will be on ASAP.

Could someone please look for Kowalakiller about 10 til 6 if I'm not on. If he's on, grab him for PLD, if not, please find one and I'll be on ASAP. THanks :-b

EDIT: If you want to assemble the pt, it consists of:
Me, Dvldwg, Typo, Bartman, Sotaka, and a PLD. Thanks!
