Bone Party {Can I have it?}Follow

Ok so I've fallen drastically behind my SP due to recent RL events. I've always wanted to try a bone party so I'm looking for some other monks to get one together.

I'm currently 2k into 67 and obviously want to try Asuran Fists out for myself. If anyone would like to build a bone party to get some good exp some time this week, please let me know. I just had LASIK last Thursday so for the next couple of days, my time available in front of a PC is limited (my eyes dry out quick. LoL). I should be fine around Wednesday or so.

Just let me know if interested!

Leave it to DV. Geesh.

It's a pt of 3-4 Monks beating the living crap out of skeletons to maximize exp efficiency. Same as arrowburn or manaburn but a lot cheaper. :-b

{Spinning Attack}->{Raging Fists}->{Dragon Kick}{Yes, please!}
(Fusion -> Light for those who didn't know. LoL)

That SC alone would probably take about 2k+ off a VT skele. mmmmm

EDIT:

Also looking for a BRD and a WHM. LoL. 4xMNK, BRD, WHM = skele ownage. I might have the WHM part covered.

Hmm. Typo did recently "retire" MNK for various reasons, 8k away from 68. A bones PT, or 2 or 3 or 11 would certainly give me incentive to come back to it for "one more fight!" ;3

I've retained up-to-date equipment, and am pretty much free anytime - all I have to do ish pick up some sushi and join when ready~

Always wanted to pt with you Typo. I think it would be a lot of fun.

Oh.. here's some info on our targets until around 70.. I have info for those post 70 also. :-b

Quote:
Monk lv66-69 - Gustav Tunnel

Enemy: Doom Guard (lv75-77); Doom Warlock (lv76-78)

Camp: Thanks to Plotres for this information.

click for map of gustav

you want to go to map 2 (enter point A on map 1). there are 3 camps on map 2. they are (in order of my personal preference):

1) tunnel on the left side of F-9 (leads into a dead-end room in E-9. this is also an unger pop spot). if you camp at this tunnel, there will be bones to your left (E-9) and right (F-8/G-8), which makes for fast chains and mobs are always available.

2) bottom left corner of I-7, right where the bend is. that bend will be clear of mobs. mages can sit against the wall, melee stand right where it begins to slope down (where your exp mobs will begin to pop). there are also pugils at the bottom of the hill which are good for exp. kill bones and fish.

3) the tunnel at F-9/G-9. this spot is ok, since the entire space in F-8/G-8 is filled with bones. but if you camp at spot #1, you can pull from both sides. a good pt will wipe out F-8/G-8 pretty quickly, and you will have to run farther west or northeast (top right corner of G-8) for pulls.

important to remember (especially for spot #2) - bones pop in pretty close proximity to camp. always be mindful of yellow HP. they aggro from pretty far away and it only takes 2 of them to wipe your pt. remind your PT that only brd can sleep undead. for a blm or rdm to even try is foolish, since they will do nothing but get themselves a lot of hate. if you get an add, have the brd sleep it right away and you should be ok.

This info was copied from the Monk Forum.

I just hate silly pld who doubt bones parties. =( Then again, that was in Garliage Citadel. Did one in Gustav the other night on the Doom Mages and crap. Never had so much fun in an exp pt, besides begging for hastega and stuff. ;;

Just as an add-on, I'm not opposed to putting in a PLD to go with 3 monks. The Holy Circle is always nice and you can actually take a good bit of the dmg until we start unloading weapon skills. :-b

Also, any properly set SMN/WHM would be good with earthen ward or ecliptic howl, growl, w/e it is. LoL.

I really think that BRD is crucial with madrigals and the attack+ songs. SMN/WHM will kill our R2 and R3, but offers many other things. Anyways.... let me know.. This is a great way to level quickly and in a non-routine fashion.

Is 10 levels too big of a gap, Leet?

I would enjoy killing things with you quite a bit, were I able to do so.

I'm honestly surprised that only one MNK at this level was interested. LoL. We might have to go in-game recruiting Typo. :-b

Typo when do you want to try to put one together? I'm sure I can get a PLD and a WHM at the least so that will leave another MNK and a BRD/RDM.

Well I work until 5pm EST tomorrow and I MIGHT be going to the club later that night. We could still get in 3 or 4 hours if we can start around 6ish. What do you think?

If we can get another monk and a bard quickly tomorrow we should be able to knock out quite a bit of exp. Can't wait. :-b

I got a BRD Typo. He's 65 but that should be ok since it really only affects his exp.

Dahlgren, are you in for 6pm EST tonight?

Any WHM or MNK want to join in before we fill the slots??

{Spinning Attack} -> {Raging Fists} -> {Dragon Kick} {Yes, please!}

Man this is going to be fun. LoL

Ok just an update. I have printed maps to 3 different bone camps (all in the same vicinity) and have been reading up more on the tactics. Most say 2 MNKs are fine until Asuran Fists so if for some reason there are no other monks on, we'll grab a BLM to burst Fire III on our Fusion, and L3 Light for when the PLD has TP.

I hope you're read to level tonight Typo. :-b
