are you seriously here to rant about someone? I think that horse needs to be removed from the boards before the stentch of the rotting corpse becomes over whelming and makes me loose my appetite.

So having said that, enjoy some Waffles.

MPK...you would MPK new players because you don't like to read ranting threads? Are you kidding? Surely when you were a "noob", you frequented old Allakhazam and ranted about the very same veteran players who may have MPK'd you. A bit hypocritical, it would seem. Here, take a memo. If you don't want to read a new player's posts that are beating dead horses, then read the ******* subject of the thread. For Christ sakes, it's a game. Let people post what they want, and you post on threads that are significant to your gaming experience. Your constant posts about beating dead horses seem to be doing just that, beating dead horses. So simmer the **** down!

First, STFU...

Second, Learn the definition of sarcasm.

Third, Develop a sense of humor...

After steps one thru three have been accomplished, then perhaps you can come back in here and post your non-serious jibber-jabber like everyone else...

I don't see why people shouldn't feel free to post a topic like this here. You are free to not read it. You can tell by tthe title that its going to be drama so if you read it then its your own fault. I'm so sick of this "beating a dead horse" junk. Who do these few people that have appointed themselves the authority on what everyone else wants to read think they are? If its humor and sarcasm then why is it not funny or witty?

I keep expecting to see posts like this:

Hello Cerberus Nice to meeet you^^

Only to be followed by:

The Hello horse has been thouroughly beaten. Please check the other posts and you will see that someone else has previously said hello, and therefore you are a noob for also posting such drama.

Personally some of that stuff, like all the Cetranne stuff was hilarious. I enjoyed reading it. I guess its a guilty pleasure - I dunno. No one made me read it. More importantly, I'm glad no one told me I couldn't read it. Stop the censorship.

Oh wow...a little ***** cat came to weigh in. Interesting, you popped out of nowhere. Ok then...if it was, as you say, sarcasm; then perhaps the same messages wouldn't be appearing in every thread. Regardless, I and others saw no humor. Therefor, the point of the sarcasm was lost on its intended audience, rendering it subsequently useless. The way Amanda, and now you, appear in your posts is arrogant. Unwilling to allow people to post their views as they see fit. It seems as though you view this resource as your domain. I'm not sure how long you have been at this game, but I do know how irrelevant that fact is. It's sad when people validate themselves with high level characters in a video game. But I'm sure your reply to this will be as mundane and pathetic as your last. You'll likely use more chat phrases like STFU to try and wield some false sense of dominance in a chatroom. Or perhaps you won't reply at all, refusing to embarass yourself further. You and others like you are sad. Seriously, I hope you learn better social skills someday. You desperately need them.

Poor child can't take a joke... Uptight and as cold as an ice cube.

Take some advice:

Go buy tweezers...

And remove whatever crawled up your *** and died.

Thank you.

Not terribly clever, are you? Tweezers to remove something that crawled up one's ***. That's an interesting tactic. I'll give it a whirl. Until then, why don't you labor to be free from the cliches. Really, it's ridiculous. Let's be original, and say what we mean. No one found these arrogant assertions of your's humorous. Except maybe you. You aren't the brightest, so clearly you would chuckle at your own elementary posts. So, chortle away jester. It's all you. And really there's no need to thank me.

cris, you're a dumbass, and anyone who says such things to you or disagree's with you is apparently arrogant... or an elitist and in a cliche..

awww, sounds to me like someone feels worthless and neglected... perhaps even in need of a hug... too bad you go about it in such a terrible way. ; ;
#19 Jul 11 2005 at 5:58 AM Rating: Default
Sweet Lord, did you just say "in a cliche?" Do you know the meaning of the word? Well, now you do 'cuz you no doubt checked Webster. For future reference, never use the phrase "in a cliche." A cliche is something one uses, not something they're in. Again, Krem your humor is lost on all but you and you're elementary friends. What are you, 12? Just close your mouth. Do not continue to give opinions. I'm not sure how you walk, let alone engage in conversation, but I think it's best you no longer do so. You're an embarrassment to your ideology, whatever that may be. Give the keyboard to someone with an intelligible purpose for response. Or not. This forum is your's to use as well. So by all means, lets keep it up ladies. Oh, that this were a face-to-face forum. Many of these posts would never have been entered. That much, I'm sure of.

Asherr, you do realize that in your attempt to belittle others in the interest of stroking your own ego that you've done nothing but solidified yourself as a complete ***.

Ama, as well as myself and MANY others, do not try to take control of these boards as our own. We do, however, realize that the string of negativity does nothing but breed more negativity. We then try to coax everyone to post less of why this person is an idiot, or why they hate something, and bring a more positive tone and help remind everyone why they enjoy the game. If you've got a problem with that, you can do as your counterpart mentioned, and not read it.

It's quite apparent in society that the ones that feel they need to berate everyone for voicing an opinion are the ones that are more of the "elementary" variety.

People mistype, it happens. To tear into someone because they said "in a cliche" is ridiculous. Do you proof read every post you make? If you do, I feel for you because you have WAY too much time on your hands. Take some of that time and enroll in a anger management class. It would do you wonders.

I think his point is that half the time the first reply to any thread is the stupid horse icon, or waffles or "casting" kill on a thread.

Yes a lot of the threads anymore are negative, and tend to be whiney or people venting.

But that's what these boards are here for. half of the time the people venting are relieved just to type it, and post it. Even if no one replies they got it off their chest. But to come on and see replies of "OMGZ Teh Dead Horse needs Waffles" Only further breeds negativety and gives off an impression that you think you're better than someone.

If you dislike the contents of the topic the hit the back button on your browser, and certainly do not give the thread further life by replying to it.

Sometimes, such threads are the one keep being bumped up because some people like to rant and drama. It is like the noisy loud one get the attention.

I do not rate down rants or dramas unless it crosses the line in the language that is being used. Now just everyone chill :-) and talk peacefully.

IMO if you disagree with another person's opinion, you can rebutt it with manners or just ignore the thread. It is non-stop pouring of gasoline into threads that I do not like.

And yes, by simply replying a drama thread that is out of control is fueling the gas..... This is what last post for me on this thread.

And may Altana save the Poor Little Horse from his beating ;)

This is one of those "take your own advice" moments.

I agree that everyone should be able to "vent". It does wonders. However, there is a very big difference between venting and forewarning, and berating and whining.

Too often recently people have opted for the flame wars which breeds nothing but animosity. They look for people to jump on the bandwagon so they can build their little angry mob of people with pitchforks and torches to march down the streets of Jeuno on a witch hunt. It gets old VERY quickly.

Don't get me wrong, I think everyone should be able to vent and say what's on their minds, but like Ama said, it's the posts that just go on and on and on about gil sellers, and RMT, and "I'll pwn j00 cuz I r 1337" that just get on my last nerve.

It's very rare that I'll comment on them unless they seem to be quickly getting out of hand. I try to offer another side or help people see eye to eye. If that doesn't work, well, it just depends on the severity of the situation.

All we look for is a more constructive posting environment. I don't see why people get so defensive/offended over that.
