Eco-Warrior QuestFollow

Hello. I am new to this board and to the game. I am only lvl 24 with not much time to play. I do have a question about the Eco-Warrior quest in Windy. I have attempted it several times and keep getting slaughtered! I have been told it requires an alliance of multiple parties to complete. Is this true, and has anyone here ever completed this quest?

Please also let me know your tolerance to stupid questions, as I am loaded with them!

Thank you---Nyru the Newb

That quest requires a full alliance (18 people) to complete. It has 3 versions of it... Windurst (Maze of Shakrami), Bastok (Gusgen Mines), San d'Oria (Ordelle's Cave).

There will be a good deal of dying in that quest. I don't know the one for Windurst, but the one for Bastok is hard as hell. Thanks to the Bogys that spawn near the NM slime.

It is usually a good idea to get some level 35+ to clear the way to where the NM spawns. Due to the level cap, you cannot have anyone to heal the alliance from outside. But people outside can kill the mobs that spawn nears the NM.

yeah you HAVE to have a high lvl help out side of the alliance clear the path for you. Also you don't NEED a full alliance. It makes things much easier...or harder depending on the people. I did it with 2 and a half parties though and we totally slaughtered the sandy mob. I think you have to wait a week inbetween quests though before repeating them

yea the eco-warrior quest youhave to wait a full earth week to repeat it or do the eco-war for the other two nations..windys doenst require the full alliance but it can help..but from my knowelege a full alliance is recommended for the other two nations and definatly need a higher lvl to clear path if expect to live to make it to the spawn point and back..and i myself need to finish it..got d/c right before i made it to spawn point so missed out on it..but shout out for help and should have people to join in..if i'm on i'll join in..

Hi,

I beleive that the eco-warrior quest in Sandy is the easiest, I havnt ever attempted the other two however. I have done this quest seven times, and I have completed it everytime. I really dont see why this quest has a reputation for being so difficult, at least not the San D'Oria one. Usually the hardest part is just getting the 18 ppl together and then getting them to shut up long enough to get organized, lol.

There is an easy stratagy for fighting the NM, and it just about ensures that everyone will make it though the battle alive. All you need is a PLD and some people to heal him once or twice. When the Alliance gets to the ??? clear the area of any agro mobs, and when everyone is healed up, have the PLD initiate the battle by touching the ???. As soon as the slime NM appears the PLD should use his 2hr Invincible. This gives the Alliance 30 secs to destroy the NM before the PLD starts getting wacked. 30 secs should be plenty of time to take that thing down. The healing only comes in when the NM casts magic attacks on the PLD... not too much of threat.

Ive actually been the PLD in this stratagy four times, and havent had any problems yet.

Anyway, as I said earlier, Ive only done the quest in Sandy... so I cant say if the ones in Bastok and Windurst are as easy. But im sure that the strategy will work just as well.

Hope this helps you out, the quest has a pretty decent payoff! Good Luck! =)

for the other 2 nations, yeah might want to have 16-18.

However in the Sandy one. I did it with 12 people, Yes! 12. 1 alliance short.

and we all made it. It was close though. had a pld tankin with a few wars helpin. some did use there 2 hour includin me as a whm.

2 whm
1 rdm to help with cures if needed.
1 blm

If you ahve a good experienced party, this is the way to go on this quest!
