Leveling a WhtMageFollow

Just as the subject says.. I am new to the game.. Let alone the server.. I don't really have much knowledge about how to level/do much in the game... So yeah.. Pretty much going to grind outside the starting city and see what happens. I'm more than willing to group with anyone and heal ya if you want to grind together. :) So send me a message in game. -- Jakster

Oh, and I am starting from level one.. Pahaha.. Don't know if I should group that low.. Any starter advice would be wonderful. Thanks.

What job would you recommend leveling? I don't really mind what it is.. I would just like to get to 30 or so.. That way I can open up Dragoon or puppetmaster.. I don't know which I want to be yet.

If you're thinking DRG then level MNK or WAR to 18. You can then choose to either take WAR or WHM to 37. (DRG's wyvern with /whm sub will heal you when you cast a spell) You would mostly use /war for experience parties as a DRG to 75. But for solo you could use /whm or /blu.

If you're thinking about PUP then /mnk /whm or /war are good subjobs.

Either way /mnk /war or /whm would be a good job to start out on.

WHM to 10 might be a little slower but at least you'll have cures. MNK or WAR you'll be left to what HP you have.



edit: After seeing your other post, if you plan on doing WAR use a Great Axe or a Polearm. (Won't hurt to bring the polearm with you and skill up on it, you'll be better with a Great Axe because of WAR skill level with it.)

Check the auction house in your starter city.

Sometimes it's rather empty compared to the Jeuno AH. Should be able to find low level weapons on it.

Alright.. Well I am working along with the whole warrior, then possibly monk to 18--- Followed by warrior to 30 so I can get dragoon.. I will be playing from 6:30 - 10:30 CST on the weekdays if anyone feels the need to join me. :) Only level 6 so far though.

ok first off any job to 10 is cake walk with drinks MP and HP you can own 10 lvs in a few hours if that. second welcome to caitsith if you need any help ask zellgadis in game he absolutly <3's tells from strangers ^^

Worldslost is a genious! I was waiting for someone to say that. Eat meat and use potions and you could probably get to level 10 in 45 minutes.

use selbina milk and meat jerky.

The Selbina Milk recovers HP, and doesn't cost a lot. The Meat Jerky boosts melee damage, so you can kill quicker/level quicker

If you can buy some from npc's, you'll save money (this site tells you where those npc's are,) if you can't, buying them from the ah is an option if you can find the gil.

Remember to get signet and your exp ring before leaving town! :)
