I made a video on Campaign battle. I personally think that the campaign battle is a lot of fun. The tense and desperate atmosphere, fast changing dynamics and large group of people, all of it. It sure would be nice if we win back the starter zones though. :p

Tell me what you think of the video.

I wonder if we can get more people to participate and organize something for Campaign.

Oh, the audio got a lot lauder on 4:18 for some reason. So watch out for it.

I noticed you said you have problems targeting people outside your party without a joystick. If you use the Compact Keyboard layout you can set up keys to do what the joystick does.

I use Q and E to go Up and Down the Party/Alliance list just like you do with a controller. Compact keyboard layout is the only way to go anyway. :P

Go to Config > Misc. 2 > Key Assignment > Movement

Scroll down until you find Menu/Target Cursor Up and Menu/Target Cursor Down

Set these to whatever key you want. Note that this only works in compact keyboard layout. Works wonders for targeting in alliances.

I enjoyed the second one you did. I liked the opening graphics and commentary. What do you use to record with? I've always had problems finding a good program. FRAPS sucks. I know some people don't like it but I would add some custom music to it. ^^ I'd probably stick with the Final Fantasy theme and do some of those re-created FF songs. FF6 Battle music is my fave.

Thanks for the tip about the compact keyboards. I am sure it'll come in handy soon. :D

As for the recording program, I am using frap. :o Although if I were to add custom music, I'll probably have to turn off the in-game music. Sometimes I don't really remember to do something like that. <.<;; Although it would be interesting to try.

Keyboards are for amatuers =p

Seriously though, this go's for anyone. I used this programable controller my entire FFXI career. Programable 1 button macro's, also make it easier to that HNM your hunting because you don't have to hit so many buttons.

Good if you like to constantly blink and makes it so so much easier when you're in a party.

I use the G15 keyboard that has the 3 sets of 18 M keys for 1 button macros.

The new one sucks. I think it only has 6 programable G keys. They made is shorter so it could fit in pull out keyboard trays.

The great thing about the G15 WAS the **** macro keys. Seriously, wtf. Bad move if you ask me.

Here's what I'm talking about. They took out almost all of those just leaving one row.

I love the keys. There's 6 of them so on say BLM I have them relating to elements.

g1 g2 g3
Fire > Blizzard > Aero
g4 g5 g6
Stone > Thunder > Water

On RDM I have them seperated into groups of six. Enfeebles, buffs, gear swaps, nukes, ect.

PLD and RNG are a little tougher but generally I have the middle row as job abilities. They're both slightly different. There's 3 M keys that swap what set of G keys you are using. This is great for RNG as there are 3 types of weapons. Gun, Crossbow and Archery. Each set of 18 g keys relates to a weapon.

Edit: Oh, and if I were you I would just go ahead and update that first post with the links to your video's as you go along so they don't get lost inside this post.

This is Cait Sith. It's really hard to stay on topic in here. Smiley: grin
