Wow, I here I am bitchin about makin up to 85k an hour.... I think I should stop that and count my blessings I have some less then average farming locations... I should note however that 85k is quite rare, especially with materials jumping and dropping so inconsistantly... However, I do agree with Slyde as he mentioned stayin away from EP mobs, unless you're NIN or THF, they're not worth the agrevation. But for a NIN or THF, Elder Goobs are excellent choices in Boyahda tree cuz they have a high drop rate for cuttings. The Key I've found to farming successfully is to be patient, curtious to others until they cut-throat you first, and taking into consideration how certain small items that appear worthless are easily dropped and since no one farms em, you can monopolize the items, meaning you own all lets say 42 items for sale at the AH. 42 items can potentially take an hour to farm, and at 1k a piece, thats 42k you made in an hour of work. Now, something that also needs to be pointed out is the dangers of being a monopoly. If someone else starts to sell that stuff as well, they'll undercut you, BAD. Also, don't monopolize something that can't be pushed fast enough, smack goes for 100k a gram on the streets, but if its sh*t, you can't get rid of it... I heard that in a movie once and the same goes for farming junk. Slyde's absolutely correct about subbin /thf. It'll be the smartest descission you make. Also, a great deal of drop rates are dependant on day and moon phase, now there's great theories as to what exactly those conditions are, but personally, I think it varies from zone and player. For instance, a 75 THF friend of mine says his highest drop rates are on Lightsday ,Full moon, or New moon. However, mine seem to be best on Windsday, or the moon phase around 63%. Makes some items I farm go from 12 items every 35 kills, to 3 items for every 1 kill... its messed but hey, gotta play with it and kinda find out what works for you. I'm also a firm believer in Every job of every lvl can find a zone to farm. That means a lvl 5 should be albe to find something in the starting zones to farm and make money at, or a lvl 75 should be able to find many zones to farm. All zones drop things... however drop rates varies from place to place. I heard of the one guy makin 35k in 5 hours of farming in Pashhow... The goobs there have a lower drop rate then Zi'Tah, so of course you'll make less profit there, however you'd have to contend with high competition and gilsellers in Zi'tah, so you just might end up with the same ammount at the end of the day, its really up to you.
