Ok so Windy is in control of the xarcabard region this week. I take the quest and get a Teleport-Vzahl. I run south to the Outpost. Trade the supplies for some Conquest points to the gaurd there, then pay 400 gil to some NPC to warp me back to my home city windy. 2 Questions:

1. Can I only warp back to jueno from there when Windurst controls the region?

2. Can I warp to the outpost from windhurst?

heres what I know:

If anyone but beastmen own the region, you can always warp to the outpost from your hometown (windy in your case), and warp to windy from the outpost. The price is lower if your country owns the region.

I don't know what happens when beastmen gain control...I assume you can't warp to/from there. You can't warp to jeuno from any outpost, but I guess you could warp to the qufim outpost from your home town (hmmmm..).

ok, I lied, I have another question. From which NPC (Windurst in my case) would warp me to the outpost?

Rottata at D-5 Windurst Port is who the teleporter is.

How outpost teleportation works, from the start:

First you need your country to be in control of the region you want. Next, talk to any gate guard and say you want to go on a supply quest. Select the area you want to deliver the supplies.

You bring the supplies to ANY guard that can set your homepoint (not just the outpost itself) in the region, OR the guard at the outpost. Now that you've delivered the supplies, you get extra cp and the ability to teleport from Windurst to that otupost and vice versa. There are restrictions:

1. The minimum level to be able to teleport is 20.
2. There is a fee for teleporting. If your country owns the region at the time of teleportation, it is cheapest. If the beastmen own the area you want to teleport to, it's most expensive.
3. You can always teleport from Windurst to any outpost that you have previously delivered supplies to. But you can only teleport from the outpost back to Windurst if Windurst is in control of that region.
4. Even though the minimum level required for teleportation is 20, that is still the MINIMUM. Certain areas that are a little higher level in general, such as Qufim and Kuzotz (Altepa deserts), require a higher minimum level (maybe 25-30?) for you to be able to teleport there.

Hope that helps. ^^

this is some great info, I've only done the n gust one myself (I'm from bastok) when I was farily low lvl, I didn't know much about the teleporting. Since bastok is in 1st atm, I guess I shoud lgo do as many supply quests as I can now.

D'oh! I guess that means that getting a Whm-free Teleport to one of the other major city-states is impossible, because Ronfaure, Gustaberg, and Sarutabaruta never get conquested away from their usual owners.
...in fact, now that you mention it, Windurst almost never has control of any area that houses low-level players. The lowest-level area I've ever seen Windy control (aside from Sarutabaruta) is Qufim, which is primarily for level 20+ characters. Weird...

Question: If you change your national allegiance, do a supply run quest for another country, then change back, do you keep the ability to Teleport to that outpost? Furthermore, would you revert to rank 1 in your home country?

Ralinor, you can only do one a day (not sure if vanadiel or earth) so do as much as you can, while bastok is in first cause it might not be that way for long, and congrats.

I was just making fun of imrahil last week cause bastok was 2nd and sandoria was in third, haha *frown* now the midgets are in last :(

This isn't entirely true. You can only get 1 supply quest for that day, but it's possible to actually do 2 supply quests on the same day.

I've actually been "farming" CP like this. I'll just pick the region that gives the most CP and keep teleportin back and forth. The gil is easily recovered.

You know I was thinking about this the other day: What exactly would it take for, say, Windy to gain control of, say, Ronfu?

Presumably if a large number of people affiliated with Windhurst were so inclined, they could all move to Sandy for a week, and do nothing but level their never-used characters in Ronfu. It makes you wonder, how many people would it take to accomplish this? Presumably enough that organizing such a "raid" would be next to impossible, but you never know. As FFXI gets older, there will naturally be less and less new players, and hence less "noobs" gaining all those conquest points killing worms and bees.

In another year or so it might become feasible, presuming Square doesn't have some kind of built in code to prevent it. Would be an incredible coup, and a lot of fun to try.

If there were a way we could get everyone to agree on a server-wide conquest shift for just 2 weeks, that would be awesome and would be a huge benefit to everyone on the server. What I mean is that for the first week have Bastok control Sarutabaruta, Windurst control Ronfaure, and Sandy control Gustaberg. The second week Bastok could control Ronfaure, Windy controls Gustaberg, and Sandy controls Sarutabaruta. Tell everyone to do their supply quests in these locations during those weeks, and let everything return to normal after that. From then on everyone would be able to teleport to either of the other 2 cities from their own - think how useful that would be.

Only problem with that, as mentioned above, would be organizing something on such a large scale, especially with lots of new players coming on every day who have no choice but to level near their hometowns. Still, it would be really cool if we could get that to work.
