hi everyone, just looking to see if anyone of my friends from Seraph are still playing. I am going to try to get back in the game in the next few weeks and not sure if i should invest in another copy of ffxi or migrate to xiv. anyway, if anyone remembers Markas, give me a shout!

Markas, Elvaan warrior 75, formerly of seraph server.

You totally need to come back! XIV is broken until the next big update, and they made XI super fun with Abyssea.

As long as you didn't delete your characters, they should still be playable.

You can download the latest version of FFXI, aside from Abyssea, from Steam, for like $15. The new Abyssea expansions are another $10 each - but they are worth it.

PoL strikes again, for some reason im having trouble updating my cc, keep getting timeout errors and something about my card cant be verified with the visa/mc verification program. any ideas?

Replied in the main forum, but basically you're gonna have to call SE and yell at them and make them take your credit card. I had to do this myself last week. SE requires the Verified by Visa or Secured Mastercard, but not all banks participate, and if you're getting an error, it probably means your bank doesn't use VBV/SM. Write down the specific error code SE gives you (probably USC-5313 but double check) and have that ready. Once you give them the magic code, they'll override your credit card to reactivate your account.

Laaaame-o. SE contact information is stickied at the top of the main FFXI forum.

Edit: The first three add-ons are just storyline scenarios. Amusing, but they only added a few pieces of custom gear. The newer expansions are Vision of Abyssea and Scars of Abyssea, which are DLC only and will required an extra $10 once you get inside Playonline Get Vision at the very least, as that is the new level 70+ exp area.

Pretty sure if you bought them with POL, they're already active and the codes are just for your reference.

First thing you want to do once inside the game again is head to Port Jeuno and talk to Joachim. By first thing, I mean as soon as you dust off your moogle first thing. The traverser stones run on a timer, and the sooner you build up some stones, the sooner you can do an Abyssea party. Talk to him today, visit Abyssea La Theine (the maw just inside the La Theine zone in from west Ronfaure), activate your time with the Conflux Survery, talk to a few other NPCs, then exit ASAP - try to use no more than 5 minutes on your first visit. Run back to Joachim and talk to him again. He'll start the stone counter (one every 20 hours) and you should be set for an 8 hour party Saturday evening - you just need at least 90 minutes (three stones) of seed time for your first visit.

I also wondered where Seraph disappeared to while I was away lol. Least I can always pop in and bug Catwho whenever I feel like it. Cat, I still have that food item you made me several years ago, is it still ok to eat?
