tl;dr: I'm doing a research study. Go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MF9TPGM and do stuff and you'll be entered to win a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate. Yay!

Hello, dears. Old-timers remember me, Seraph newcomers (WELCOME) definitely won't. I used to play but I haven't for many many years, but that doesn't mean I don't remember you!

I have just started a graduate program in Library and Information Studies. I am working on a big project right now for my Foundations of LIS class that is an "action research" project. That means I actually have to DO SOMETHING more than just reading other people's papers and writing about them.

What am I doing, you ask? Well! I am more interested in information studies than library studies, so I am studying how people who play MMOs seek information! And I am doing this via a usability study for a new website that's currently in public preview, Guildwork.com. It's part DKP manager, part Facebook, and it's pretty darn cool, but it has some rough edges, which is where me and my survey come in.

Help a grad student out and take the survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MF9TPGM. It is rather lengthy (about 30 mins in length) and will require you to register at Guildwork.com. To sweeten the pot, I am going to enter everyone who responds into a random drawing for one of two $25 Amazon.com gift certificates. Hooray!

Please spread the word! I'm looking for respondents from both FFXI and WoW, and the more the better. If you want to post this on other message boards or on your linkshells' sites or anything else like that, that would be awesome.

Thank you guys! :D

Merge was a little rocky, at first, but things are starting to fall into place. I must say I'm happy with how the increased population has affected campaign standings. I'm also starting to meet some of our new residents, to include Catwho, the other day.

Fight it! I just saw my copy lying around the other day immediately after I got my laptop repaired. After much debate, I decided it would not be healthy lol

And hey, Byaina! Nice to see a handful of people not only remember this site exists, but actually visit :o

I check in on very very rare occasions. I just don't always bother to say anything. Because I stink. :)

Hello Tulip. Hope you and Gun are both well.

I'll check out your survey when I get some free time.

I too sometimes feel the urge to play again Gam, although I don't have FFXI installed on my desktop anymore. I'm in pretty deep with raid leading my WoW guild, but nostalgia sometimes strikes. I just ignore it. I mean seriously... would I really want to log in to a server that once had you on it? I don't think so.
