Sever doing ok?Follow

I was in Jeuno recently, for the first time in three years. Granted, it was in the middle of the night, but there was nobody there... Usually there have at least been jp players, or someone around!

Also, the auction house was nuts. I saw scorpion harnesses and hauburgeons for less than 200k! Is that simply a side effect of SE banning all the gil sellers, or are there just not enough people left to maintain a healthy economy? The harness is cheap because nobody wants it? I hope that's not so :/

I also realize that Jeuno might be empty because the entire server was in Whitegate, which I haven't unlocked yet. Please tell me that's the case o.o;

That is the case. Aht Urghan is massive and everyone is there. Bismarck itself has gotten rather huge. Up to 3300 people on at a time during major hours. They are banning gil sellers every month so the prices of like Scorpion Harnesses and Haubys are dropping in price. People still use scorpion Harnesses just that they are cheaper. That is merely all. Btw did you see me yet for a LS?

Yeah, everyone has migrated to Whitegate. Personally, I find Jeuno a lot quieter and spend most of my time there. A lot less lag, a lot less shouting, not to mention no more bazaar taxes in case I find a good deal. Granted, if you need to shout for something, Whitegate is your place to go.

The economy has actually been in the state it has been for a few years. Stuff hit an all time high and fell dramatically. As you have seen, Haubergeons and Scorpion Harnesses have dropped below the 200k mark, amoung other gear that is still steadily dropping. Mind you, too, Bismark lost a very influential part of ther endgame community in a recent "banning raid", which has a lot of people predicting a change in the economy (higher tier items) for the better or the worst.

Rest assured though! Bismarck is still as strong as ever. If you take a gander around San d'Oria, Windurst, or Bastok, you're bound to see one or two new players running around.

Interestingly enough, I heard that it was fair game at Kings for about a week. seeing as the botters were temporarily cleaned up, some other LS got a fair shot at it.

But I also heard within a day or two of the people only temp-banned returning, there were all new botting mules and things went pretty much back to normal.

Hi there.

I have been doing a lot of research for the best server to fit my play schedule, (I am PST and I found that this server has the most active PST activity/events) and as of several months ago, I decided to move to Bismarck (haven't moved yet though.)

But recently I read that Bismarck got hit hard with the ban stick and according to some people it has become a ghost town since I guess entire linkshells were banned(?!) One reply previous to mine says that the server has up to 3300 people, but these contradicting comments are making my question my decision.

Could some people elaborate or clear some things up for me before I move and regret this decision? Are linkshells trying to regroup and move on, or are things really falling apart? Is the PST activity still thriving?

If this is too much to ask, please forgive me.

P.S. the type of events I researched were einherjar, salvage, nyzul, dynamis, and hnmls

As far as I know, the 3 Linkshells hit hardest were NineInchNinjas, ForReal, and Discoid.

NIN is finished pretty much, was only a small shell and it lost most of its core members.

FR lost a fair number of members but is bigger and seems to be handling the hit and carrying on as normal.

Discoid not hit as bad, lost its leaders though. Has already been reformed and is back to work.

Other than that, it was just odd people here and there, not entire Linkshells.

edit: can't spell
