There was a giant fubar. Battled the set up from 10pm - 2:30am finally won. Started installing my old FFXI discs. Finished in 30 min for all. Went to run Viewer for updates. Cant. Find out theres some special Vista crap. Now i gotta uninstall all the ff i just installed. And the unistall is incredibly slow. Its near 4am. im tired and I gotta run a jack hammer all day at work. ***** it. Im pissed.

actually thats not true.

You just need to download and install the special version of PlayOnline from the playonline website.

http://www.playonline.com/homeus/headline/news01.html

You install the expansion packs with your discs like normal. So, if you haven't uninstalled your expansion packs, then dont. only unintall PlayOnline from the drive, and install PLAYONLINE ONLY using the vista version at the link above.

Why would you get vista and a 7950? If your going to use vista you need a 8000 series card for directx 10

i spent $150 dude. TOTAL, for the entire system. I have friends that are always upgrading. The 7950 was a hand me down. I might upgrade to a 9 series this month. The only things i bought were the processor/board and hard drive.
