This thread should be about Bismark's legends. Just the legendary players that most everyone has heard of or played with, not someone that you personally like.

Drowsorez

I don't know much about his characters, or his levels, but I do know that he is dedicated to his cooking. 9/10 you walk into Selbina, you'll see a cute little taru sitting between the gates with a Chef's Hat on.

[b]Hoodlum[b]

I think we all know why he would be considered a Bismarck legend. If you don't, either go looking for posts players have made about him, or go to Jeauno when he is there and watch players start /sh about him.

Ah, there used to be Taikobo. Not sure if he's sitting there anymore.

Then there is always Gravytrain or Lilgravytrain in Windy selling stuff. Myrith may or may not be standing next to him (always facing the wall for some reason).

Obviously Hiptaru should be up here. For better or for worse, you'd be hard-pressed to find a group of Bismarck players who've never heard of the guy!

That, and "smoke a doobie" is probably going to haunt my dreams until I die. D:

I actually thought Drow was just a mule that sat in Selbina 24/7 right up until his name popped up in LS chat and I realised he was actually a real person. ^^

OMG! I have to go to South Sandy and look. He was there since before I started playing the game. Then he just disappeared and re-appeared a couple months ago. I Havn't seen him since.

Taikobo = Excellent Bazaar!

Just look for the elvaan kneeling with the Pumpkin Hat on. Always in the same place ^^

On the day I came back to the game, I ran to the AH in San d'Oria, and there he was. Taikobo. It was like that scene in 2001 with the monolith.

I think Babyjade and Jwb should be on here. These two are something else, they've been playing since I was traipsing around in Bronze Armor...Babyjade gave me my first Raise. ;) I had just been killed in La Theine by an Akbaba.

Few People.

Varcore
The sarcastic little @$$ the HotukenKnights have loved since he joined us.

I've known his for a while, great guy - if only he'd come back.

~
Celestia

Mithra Monk from Hell, Notorious for Losing 100k for no reason, and buying mithkabobs at 55k. Awesome guy, also left about a month or so ago.
He was a great guy, helped when needed.

Kulganflame

Leader of the HotukenKnights, always there to help when he can. he even did my G2 for me :)

Hmmm...

If we're talking about legendary players and not just people who you see in the same spot all the time I have another to add...

Kingpopof - This paladin has helped more people than I think anyone will ever know. And I'm proud to say he's in my Linkshell helping us take on some of the smaller gods and will basically tank anything we need, and will do so while singing Christmas carols.

Renkeidorkz view any LS {event} as a failure if we haven't gotten him killed at least once (bonus points for multiple deaths) and he takes it all and amazingly still shows up for LS business. He truly has a good time helping out other people, I've never once heard him complain about having to help someone out, he truly enjoys it. Just make sure you do your homework :D

Let's see famous, infamous, people of notoriety... I can remember a few names from back when I was a rookie, and luckily I've gotten to meet them and with some become really good friends.

These are my Legends:
Eleusynia - who has helped me with more stuff than I can remember
Yekan - whom welcomed me into SA (<3 SA, tis home)
Wintaru - fishing buddy, and someone I'm proud to know.
Nightsintodreams - Story-teller, romantic, and a good friend

There are others, people that are dear friends, people that have made a difference, but these four are the giants in this game for me.

When I saw the title "Legends" I figured there would be names of the people that were saving lives from the Sea Horror or Aquarius when these mobs were thought to be unsoloable. Or maybe those players that never logged out, but when they moved from their spot in Port/Lower/Upper Jeuno MH entrance the entire server knew about it and begged to find out where they went. I can remember way back in May of last year when my LS (Orbit at that time) started going crazy because a certain RDM left his post in front of Port Jeuno MH. He had the gear I could only dream about at the time and he was said to have soloed every mob in the game (even Kirin. and I believed the stories until I was able to see Kirin myself). I think his name was Macross.
I also remember when the majority of high level NA players were not high level players. There was one RNG named Macy (still playing). His gear was strange to most, but have proved to be what all RNG these days feel the need to have. I never saw him fight, but I heard he could one shot the NM Rams (though I knew this to be untrue, the fact that I was told that story is enough to make him seem crazy "uber"). Who else was talked about in this fashion?

i see what your saying biggest, this thread seems to consider "legends" to be the guy that got your coffer key for you when you were working on af. or the high level that helped you get your papyrus paper.

biggest is talking about the true legends, which would better be named "NA Pioneers."

Ahh yes! I do remember Isshin. The stories of him showing up at the last second before a King Behemoth pop, only to get the claim.... SOLO.... in front of 50 slackjawed onlookers. And I also heard he was undefeated in Ballista to this point. Sounds like a legend to me.

yup lets hear of true "Legends". not the person who've done this n that for you. here are some i'll list that i've always noticed, some famous, some infamously notorious.

- Gauge: was always standing in jeuno, had the uber gear back when i was a newb. ridill, kraken..
- Macross: pimp red mage way back when, soloing all sorts of NMs. the very first Savage Blade i saw was from him.
- Sprite: infamous... only the OG's will remember him.

lets hear more true "Legends"
