Blacksmiths just don't make those. Although the HQ sells for a lot (I believe I paid 50k for mine), the NQ sells for crap (about 5k). With the recipe requiring 3 steel ingots and oak lumber, that means a loss of ~10k PER synth. So the smith would need to get a HQ in 5 or less combines to make a profit. Which, while possible, is just too big of a gamble for such a small profit. Plus they'd have to take up AH spaces to sell off the NQs or suffer even larger losses.
All that said, I wish I could help ya, but with my skill at 60 it'd take MANY more than 5 combines for me to get a HQ =(

As soon as the NAs break the "japanese stranglehold" on Goldsmithing, the prices will fall and you guys won't be left with the mega profits that exist atm. So...why don't you silently level up your skill and make money at it on the way. I'm doing that in Cloth...I'm making lots of money legit and the only people who I'm telling how I'm doing it are in my LS. Keep your money making secrets to yourself and/or your LS, put some gil into your craft to get some out, level up, etc.
Either way...make money...skill up...keep it to yourself...have fun.

I'm looking not so much for specific goods but for a crafter to make said goods.
So... I'm looking for someone with 35+ Clothcraft and 25+ Leathercraft to make as much as you can of the Seer's set or even possibly a Noct set as well. I'm willing to pay for all the materials, crystals, and even cover the breaks in addition to a service fee, determinable by your level of skill and the final cost of the synths.

I usually have a lot of Giant Femurs, Chicken bones, Bone chips, Scorpion Claw, Scorpion Shells and Turtle shells for sale, and when I sell trough my Bazaar I always put the prices lower than AH ones. So, if you're interested... /tell Freyir ;)
I have this lovely overstock of Dhalmel Hides and Giant Femurs from a recent farming run with a RNG... So if anyone needs those, I have too many. I'm also big on harvesting, so if you need mugwort or marjoram, etc., I'm your gal! I never mind acquiring reasonable goods for people, so by all means, whatever you need, let me know! I have no problem shopping around for you, and I never ask for a cut. I just like helping! ((Tracking stuff down for people, I can do... AF... I'm not so good at.))
Also, I'm always on the market for pies. Yum!

My friends, there is NO money to be had in goldsmithing.
I've lost oh.... 400k learning the craft the hard way when the game first came out. Quit for a while and came back.
I've really enjoyed being able to make my "shinies" but at a loss of 3-15k per synth it's........ a total loss. I break even at best, and have only had 5 levels or so where I can say that I made money.
I used to mine, which helped, but with the gilfarmers taking over Gusgen, I can't even do that anymore. It's something to do for fun, not profit I'm afraid.
That being said, if you want to level it, let me know^^

Heh, I'm needing a Marksmans's Ring, and though there are 2 on the AH, they're both set at a price of over 90,000 when the history ranges from about 40,000 to 50,000. (Help me out!) I'll be willing to pay anywhere up to 60,000 for it.

I got these in BCNM 60, and am -800,000 gil because of them. I handle the sales of all items on BCNM, and I was silly enough to pay everyone prior to the sale of these.
Needless to say, only one has sold in the last month, and that was by someone who undercut the price by 50K, and by god I'm going to make your life hell! I have had these in auction for a month.
If you are interested, let me know, they sell for about 350K, but I'll make you a good deal if you can get them off of my hands.
