I'm sure this question is asked a lot, so I'm sorry, but, after hearing a lot of bad stuff about the early levels of this game, how hard is it on this server to find a party in the early levels? I'm new and just trying not to join a server that's to the point where it's too hard for a newbie to progress. ^^;

Its as easy or hard as you make it. Put forth the effort and don't be lazy, and it will be easy. Be lazy and let others do the work for you, and it may seem hard.

Pretty much what Naobi said. Solo to 10 like everyone else. You 'll get plenty of invites in the dunes, granted they'll almost always be blind invites, but you'll get em. As your levels progress, the invites slow down, but make your own party and thats not a problem.

Ah, alright. Haha, if you put it that way it sounds just fine, thank you.

it's pretty easy to solo to 37 anyway. i usually go saruta 1-13-> tahrongi 14-18 -> bubu 19-24 -> qufim/rolanberry. did thf, dnc, smn, sch and mnk like that.

Most people level to 20 or so solo. This works well for them, but new players that do not have access to some of the better gear/food will experience a much slower leveling progression. For new players it really is best to try to get a party in Valkurm Dunes. You will not only get some experience with how parties function and your jobs role in a party, but also benefit from the experience/better gear (usually) of the other players.

You shouldn't expect to get party invites as soon as you put up your flag, especially since other players will "see" that you are a new player even without actually seeing you due to your lack of subjob. But, trust me, you will get invites eventually. Just continue soloing until you get an invite.

As all players should, be sure to read up on your job in the job forums, read about food and how the various stats affect your job and which are best for you. The more you know going in the less people have to teach you. The less people have to teach you the less they dislike you. Oh, and try to get a linkshell as soon as possible. When in game type "/sh Hello, I'm a new player. Can I join a linkshell please" without the quotes. You may find someone willing to let you join their LS, but don't hold your breath. This isn't WoW where people trying to start a new guild are willing to pay you to join theirs so they can get the required 10 starting members.

Welcome to the game and Happy Adventuring

Or be a cheap skate like me, and not waste your gil on consumable items like food until you got money fallin out chur anus. I made all my gil go into crafting and equips and never bought food until i had such an abundance of gil that it didn't matter. I'd do it again that way too.

You can also check out Cooking craft. that way you can level a craft, make some gil from it (hopefully), as well as making your own food so that you don't have to waste gil buying it. but don't take it passed level 60, you'll be sorry. Trust me on that sh!t.
