ZAM Premium - Worth It?Follow

#1 Aug 23 2010 at 5:44 PM Rating: Decent
I was wondering, to those who paid for the ZAM premium feature find it worthwhile? I know it's only 9.99 for 3 months which seems pretty nice. However I can't seem to find a page anywhere that talks about the benefits of Premium vs Standard. Thank you.

EDIT: Nevermind, found it. I think I'll just pay for the 3 month plan and see how it pans out.

You already have premium, but whatever, a +1 is a +1.

The only use I find out of premium as of now is that it keeps my journal open, really. I guess the unlimited image upload limit (afaik) is cool.

It does seem lame that avatars only come with premium. I post on two other sites occasionally, that require no membership fees at all.
On these sites, I'm allowed to use an avatar and signature, as well as being able to use an image in said signature.

Meh.

(lol, coming from one of the guys who abused the Premium Gift feature.)

The features aren't really worth the price, no. Avatars, journals, and images are nice to have, but certainly not worth paying for, considering all but journals are a standard part of almost every forum. However the real reason to pay for premium is to support alla.

Pretty much.

Makes me wonder how many people would support Zam if "Premium Membership" was changed to "Donation".
I don't know about myself, honestly.

It also funds the staff that add things to the various game sites, and your Friendly local neighborhood forum admins. And the devs who fix thingies, and make new thingies for that matter.

Honestly i think those are more trouble then they're worth. I say we cut them from the budget.

I buy premium on sites like this because I don't like adds, but feel that addblocking useful sites that I use is in poor taste.

It's more that addblocking does the layout little good.
And I like to think that by paying for premium I also help pay the Admins and thus have some limited form of power over them.

It works about just as well when you tell a cop, "I pay your salary".

I vote that we funnel the money used to pay them into magazine subscriptions we'll never actually have delivered to our residences.
