I don't know how hard this would be to set up, but I can't imagine it'd be too difficult: tags that replicate HTML anchors, for use in FAQs and guide posts. Basically something like [a=Section1] to designate the actual anchor, and something similar to create a link to your anchor at another point in the post. It would make FAQs a lot easier to navigate, and keep people from having to make five or six posts in a row in order to reserve them for their guide.

As someone that's written numerous guides for the WoW section of the site, this would be incredibly helpful. Not having to split up a post because it's fairly long would be wonderful.

Granted I don't have access to the actual stats, but in my experience almost no one uses the wiki, especially on the WoW site since wowwiki is a long-established community favorite. I know I, for one, haven't been back to it since it was launched, because all of the information is available in a more familiar (and probably more complete) format on other sites. Plus, having it open to be edited by anyone isn't desirable for everything.

Hrmm good point on the open to everyone. That brings up some ideas, going to toss them around in my head for a bit.
