In regards to these posts that were killed.

In the past mentioning hacks/other third party programs has been acceptable, as long as we weren't advertising them, describing how they work, etc. Is this no longer the case? I am particularly curious as to why overburn's post was killed, as selling his accounts wasn't even remotely the point of his post, it was simply cited as the reason why he was unable to get a screenshot of it.

I can't see the posts obv, but I imagine you were talking about using these programs in the past, rather then referring to them obliquely. Having people who use hacks openly talk about them displays an acceptance of this activity that ZAM does not support. I understand editing it in this case.

I mentioned using them in my post, yes, but that wasn't even the main point, and i only mentioned it to prove that it was definitely impossible to get up the hill now (speed hacking combined with extreme lag in ffxi can often allow you to run through things, or jump up small gaps).

I'm just a bit confused, because i've mentioned using various different hacks here probably hundreds of times, and as far as i know, i've never had a post nuked/edited because of it.

Overburn's post particularly has me confused, since his post basically said that he couldn't get a screenshot of it, because he sold all his account awhile ago, and then he linked to a map with the spot marked, and further described where it was, and how it worked.

Account selling is strictly verboten on these forums. So are discussions of hacks. We got complaints, I removed them. Simple as that.
