You'd need to know the following:

1) MySQL
2) Perl
3) A specific library for Perl called mod_perl disregard this line, hadn't bothered to look up mod_perl :-D

My Perl's a little rusty, but I can follow it and probably be back in the position of being able to write code within a relatively short time.

I'd worry less about who will moderate the forums than what and how its going to be set up and such first. I'm certain we have quite a few people that are more than cappable of handling the task.

This is gonna be wonderful, it looks like Kao will have to recruit another Admin soon to monitor that one, too. I foresee an explosion in post counts!

Also, is there any chance, at all, that in the Anime Forum we will be able to post pictures even if not Premium? After all, no one here can post while anon.

They aren't adding a new section the site, just a new forum. It will be exactly the same as any other forum. They won't be adding any new staff specifically for this forum, and they won't be adding any new features specifically for this forum.
