A lot of us did already.

There's also ad revenue :P Not sure how Alla's advertising partnership works, but anime companies love web-ads.

When I go to the dealers room at a con, I fully expect to drop at least a hundred dollars. (The time I bought a kimono was closer to $300.)

The messiness can be avoided by good admins, there are some dedicated posters who have volunteered to monitor a possible new anime forum, the current admins are also quite capable and willing to clean up any mess.

I don't fully agree with the "other sites" argument, there are other sites for all matters discussed on the forums here.

The only thing I suppose would be if anime, manga and comics (which I would add, if not explicitly in name then definitely unofficial) have a connection with the general ideas and principle of Allakhazam. With the rapidly increasing popularity of it, definitely amongst those involved with the science fiction and fantasy genre, partial links with mmorpg's, I don't really see that as being a problem.

I know some have already stated that most manga actually deals with something else than science fiction or fantasy, but most of the manga and anime debated on Vataro's journal is very much SF or fantasy.

The going to other sites suggestions is silly to me because the entire point is to have a medium for the Allakhazam community to talk about anime. I already know many of the people here and want to discuss these topics with them and the others on the site who I may not know but share similar interests in games at the very least.

I think it should have only what the boards presently have. Premium image uploads, no real image tags.

We don't want this being an image spam board. It would exist to discuss the subject, not post images.

It will have the same rules and features as any other board regardless of what a few people desire. It's silly to expect the site devs to code special features, especially since Allakhazam is currently short on devs.

Pasting a link to youtube/pictures and clicking through another tab to view is hard

yes, I stopped playing WoW and FFXI, so the only reason I come here is to lurk at Vataro's anime journal and OOT forums once or twice a month.
