Not trying to be an *** or whatever. But ever since you changed the site, it's been running like sh*t. The site is sluggish, things don't display properly, et cetera. Don't get me wrong, things were great until recently. Basically, I'm saying, you should bring the numbers back.

Voted no, if you do not unnerf Allakhazam.com, I'll release the rabid, angry, and constipated wombats! Trust me, you don't want that!

I'll be okay with the changes when each style sheet has lines between the "User info" space and the text space and when the "Hide Menu" function is hosted server side again so there's no "Draw... ninja vanish!!" of the menu when you load a page.

Right now, I'm stuck using the EQ stylesheet again because it's the only one that looks and works correctly for me.

I'm getting used to the changes finally, and frankly, I enjoy them. It's nice to know that the site is evolving. I'm assuming there are larger changes in the future, like more modern skins for the sites, that would be nice.

All in all though, I'd settle for [ lg ] tags. Smiley: grin

After working up my javascript-fu, I believe I have alleviated the ninja vanish menu. You might have to shift-refresh or something to get the new javascript files, but for me it doesn't flicker anymore.

hrm, on the first couple loads on each skin it's sorta funky like before, but then it works better.. on long pages it still does the ninja thing, but on short/quick pages it doesn't... not sure how much faster I can make this thing.

After two more hours of ******** with javascript, I'm back where I started, but it is a little bit faster... every time I find a nice way to make it load immediately in Firefox or IE, the other one breaks... makes me wish for a browser monopoly of some sort..

Actually, what you managed to do was break it on the EQ stylesheet for me. So... uh... thanks? Smiley: mad

My only complaint now is that it doesn't show your post after you submit it, it takes you to the top of the thread. Really hate that.
#15 Jul 10 2007 at 8:26 AM Rating: Excellent
I noticed that as well. It also sometimes doesn't show that you even posted until you refresh the page completely in FF. Not a big deal overall but different than it used to be.

I was hoping that with my FFXI stylesheet changes, it would stop auto-blanking posts out too. Is that still happening for people? I haven't been able to reproduce that one ever so I can't tell.

It blanks mine every so often but it's so infrequent for me it's hard to catch it when it does. I'll try n screenie it next time for you.
