I'll agree with the fact that some mods do get a little out of control, but that's nothing more then my personal opinion. By pure logic alone many of the threads I think should stay SHOULD be moved or locked. I bring my personal opinions into it because I love to debate and sometimes I think the forums need a bit of fun every now and then. Many mods are not in it for the ego boost, at least not on this forum. If a mod is doing something purely for an ego boost then they would constantly abuse their powers and not to their original duties. While it may seem like some of the mods do abuse their powers, they are coming nowhere close to it. For instance, if ImperialNinja wanted to he could just mute or ban you right now. He'd rather lock the flame fest threads or move then instead because he wants to keep the forum clean and doesn't want to abuse his powers.
ps. Making **** comments is not the smart thing to do, specially when there are people that have personally seen what they've done and have been deeply effected by it. I myself don't mind because i'm a ******* slothy glutton who doesn't take offense to pretty much everything.
