I am at a loss as to how to proceed here. I am a premium subscriber and have a problem with regard to my Computer Gaming World Subscription (I never got it). I first attempted to contact Allakhazam back in August, 2006 about this by sending him a PM here on the forum. Since then, I have sent several PM's and emails. NONE of them have received ANY sort of reply whatsoever!

I have enclosed proof (by way of copies of the emails sent to me) of my paid account status, I have sent email to him using different email accounts, including my registered email account with Allakhazam.com...I posted a question here on the forum page as well once before. I would greatly appreciate any help at this point. Thanks in advance.

Do you live in the US? The magazine offer doesn't count when you live outside the US. Also, Allakhazam.com has a deal with CGW that sends their magazines for free to Allakhazam's premium subscribers (as a gift of CGW, for that I know Alla doesn't pay for it). And as often with free things that are delivered by 3th parties, they are often slacking and fixing the problem is probably on low priority for CGW.

Conclusion: The problem is known but I doubt this site can do much about it.

Computer Gaming World Magizine does not exist anymore.
They were replaced with a new magizine called "Computer Gaming for Windows" or something like that back in August.
That MIGHT have something to do with the mix up.
/me shrugs.

Wootels is right in the sense that all I can do is tell people a problem exists, what they can do from that point I don't know. I do know that we get a lot of magazine complaints and I'll continue to bug people about it.

1. Yes I live in the U.S. CGW stated they never received payment for this subscription, so it's not a delivery issue. I had no problems getting the subscription for my first year as a premium subscriber to Allakhazam. When I renewed my Allakhazam account everything went to crap. Of course that was right around the time that they were being bought out by IGN or ING or whoever so that probably had a lot do do with it. It's really quite unfortunate too, as I really like the service that Allakhazam provides, and I definitely like the premium option better due mainly to the lack of ads. But I don't see how I can justify subscribing to a company that won't even answer my email, let alone attempt to fix a problem. And that truly disappoints me because I'm beta-testing LOTRO and will most likely continue to play it upon release and Allakhazam will be a HUGE boon players of that game.

2. I know CGW no longer exists; it's now called Games for Windows magazine. And the premier issue of the new magazine was January, 2007. So I'm fairly certain that didn't affect things. The new mag is nice; y'all should check it out btw! :)

Thanks Pikko for trying. I believe you and I appreciate that you at least did attempt to get someone to address my problem.

This is a larger issue. I have noted in a few threads lately from the WoW fourms to the Asylum comments from members about not getting their mags.

I just checked my email and the account that is listed for Allakhazam had an error when receiving. Just on the slight chance that someone from Allakhazam sent me mail, I changed my email address just now. So if anyone there sees this and did actually send me something yesterday or today will you please resend to my new address? Thanks! :)
