Ogaming, they are involved with plat sellers and IGE? What does this mean for the relationships with Alla and plat sellers?

I'm curious about this as well.

Fire them? Yes.. yes.. you know you want to.

Wow, this is very exciting. Smiley: grin

So people can type in www.Zam.com to get what they need? No more "it's too hard to spell Allakhazam" excuses.

Congrats to the admin crew. This sounds like a big step.

So Allakhazam finally sold out? Not surprising, hard to resist when a multi-million dollar corporation throws hundreds of thousands of dollars at you. I'm sure you will be well taken care of Allakhazam, while earning a hefty paycheck every month.

Not that I blame you, they've been after you long enough. They just had to wear you down... or offer you enough.

This is my biggest concern. On a personal level I find IGE's practices to be absolutely deplorable. How does the new zam.com network fit in with the whole plat farming/selling market?

I would just like to hear that wonderful 'we are in no way connected with IGE or selling gold, we also will make sure Thotbot and Ogaming are now gold selling free"

That's exactly what I want to see as well. If this means a collaberation with goldsellers, I'll have to do some rethinking about my premium account.

#35 May 03 2006 at 4:41 PM Rating: Default
Why would a very very vocal opponent against IGE, OGaming and Thottbot buy them out? For the betterment of mankind? Allakhazam does not need them. OGaming, on the other hand, is a beginning network struggling to grow. What faster way to grow then to go ahead and buy an all ready successful network.

The wording is all done by PR and marketing. That's the spin they put on it to keep down the voice of dissension.

As I said, they finally offered him enough :)

The ownership issues here are convoluted. This is how deals like this get done. The size of this is pretty amazing. This is just the announcement for our own users, not the actual corporate announcement, which will likely come much later. We are now owned by a company that owns a bunch of stuff, including IGE. They bought both of us (and several other sites as well) and then split us into separate divisions so that there is no interaction between them. You know my stand on gold selling. Before agreeing to anything like this, I wanted to make sure that there would be no interaction between those divisions and that I would have complete control over the new network, including the sites that used to be part of ogaming. So this means that the Ogaming sites and Thottbot have been split off of IGE and into our network and no longer have any connection with them.

IGE also tried to purchase Allakhazam at one point as Allakhazam has mentioned in the past. It would be nice to see Alla reverse it on them, I would just like to hear that wonderful 'we are in no way connected with IGE or selling gold, we also will make sure Thotbot and Ogaming are now gold selling free"

I would like to here this also, I refuse to support any gold selling service in any form, even in a indirect way.

Allakhazam purchases main sources of competition in order to consolidate market share and ruthlessly crush rivals, its not like he hasnt done it before, Pikko Pots ring a bell. She is now working as slave labour.

So, in other words, Alla is now owned by the company that owns IGE. That's not what I wanted to hear at all.

Ya, RPG Holdings is seperate from IGE in the same way that Samual Clemens is seperate from Mark Twain. Good luck with this venture and make sure you keep about 10k around so you can afford to bid back the domain from the domainers when they let it lapse just like Shadowknight.org and a bunch of the other sites they originally aquired.

I am sorry to hear that Allah. I have been premium for years not because I needed the extra goodies, but because I wanted to do my tiny bit to help you keep this site going. But I have a hatred of gold sellers and division or no division, you still have to pay homage to the head honchos.

Good luck with this, and I hope it allows you to turn this site into the premier MMORPG site that you dreamed it to be. I fear that you sold out to the devil to do it though.

So it's okay to get a paycheck from the bad guys if you can't see the filth they're doing?

Oh, right...

Great way to look at things. I'll remember that for when I have kids some day.

Not a good answer. Not a good answer at all.

oooh not what I was hoping to hear at all. Whether or not the gold selling is a part of your division or not, you are now a part of the parent company that produces those sites and ability to buy plat/gil/etc.

Hmmm, so if we as a community rate this down (and it will take much time and many sock puppets)....will it be like this never happened?

I hope you got a good contract from them, because it looks like it cost you your soul, even if you're too blind to see that.

Two weeks left on premium then goodbye avatar, thanks for the ride.

But, at the end of the day, my money is still going to the guy who owns IGE. Correct?

I'm sad to say, now when mine runs out. It stays out. Shame I was content with what we had. Most others here to.

Oh well. Thats the way the internet crumbels.

Alla, please call it off or do something. At least give us proof that are money is not going to the gold selling Division of their filithy websites.
