Any way to search for all posts by a certain user without knowing their User ID (or, just as good, finding someone's User ID without actually having one of their posts handy)?

No. Specifically by design, since being able to easily locate all of a person's posts at one time could lead to someone attempting to rate all of said person's posts down at the same time.
