Are there any plans or has it even been considered to add game specific chatrooms here at Allas?
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome. ~River Tam

Never even thought of something like that, but it would be a nice idea.
You could run something like IRC. Get a channel registered, teach the admins how to be ops, and just make a little info panel on what server it is, and the channel name.

Wouldn't really need to be IRC. There are applets that will run chatrooms inside of webservers. It would be a nice added feature though. I'm just really curious if the idea has even been considered.

Only problem is, that might lag the server on busier times.
Of course, I have no expertise in that area (being what makes a server lag.)

IRC and personal messages have been discussed, however I do not know the outcome.

If you or one of the other Admins could find out and post here, that would be great. I personally think it would be a great idea, provided the servers can handle the additional load.

They were vetoed by Illia nad Allakhazam due to no one using them back when we did have them at one point. It's somewhere in the "post things to look at" thread.
