Internal Server Error 500s like crazy tonight.Follow

#1 May 23 2004 at 10:47 PM Rating: Good
I've been getting these for about the last half hour now, and it's taking about 4-5 tries just to refresh pages or post things in the forums.

I sent an email to Root about this as well.

It seems to happen most when entering the Journals screen, the User Account screen, and the Squeenix feedback forum.

Got an error here too.

The forums on the WoW site and the Lineage sites are refreshing fine.

Got this while entering this page from the Cross-Site Forum index to see if there was anything posted by anyone else.

I don't know if this post is actually going to show up or not, but the same problems are back again.

I've just tried several times, to tell you what's going on, but none of my posts go through. After about 15 attempts, I managed to get into my User Information, and it shows that 2 of my posts were made, but they aren't showing up on the forum index.

I'll post this now, and see if it shows up. Here goes...

disabled message ratings in order to reduce load, temporarily. couldn't tell if someone was spamming ratings or if the table just wouldn't unlock

Thanks Dana. If anyone can fix it, you can.

Have a Smiley: cookie. It'll help, trust me.

it appears that someone queried the same page on lucy about 50 times at once, which completely borked it up, taking dbserv out in the process. Thanks, whoever you are.
