I can't see why there are no posts in sch forum yet. I opened the job and queued for a lvl 30 dungeon and was like... amg. I thought things would be strange because they were new, and then Eos (the fairy) was like: "I got this dude". Then I just watched in awe and amazement.

Until you actually try it, this will probably seem like a weird joke post but really, that fairy does some stuff. This is especially nice considering my isp has been lagging me out and all my dungeons are now rubberband fests. Without that fairy I swear everyone would be long dead in all my pt's.

I completely agree, at least in the early parts of the game.

I've been rerunning the first 3 dungeons and story line Ifrit a few times for practice, and Eos handles the vast majority of the healing, allowing me to dot/debuff a lot.

I'm curious to see how she does at higher levels.

Yeah the fairies are great, you just have to constantly make sure they are in the right place so they are in range of the tank.

She's great but I never allow her to just float around doing her own thing. All her abilities are on my own action bars and I just them as though they are my own. Don't trust the fae to get it right by herself!

Since the fairies seem to play like puppetmaster on FFXI. I would think a high level would be scared to let it roam free. It could spam AoE like pup did and get you all killed if you did not have it in check.

I leave my healing fairy Eos on auto pilot all the time in AK. She can keep a party full on trash pulls

I ran Darkhold for the first time tonight (won, then we did it again - still no darn shawl though) and also had no problems with Eos on auto-pilot. As nonameoflevi said, she does fine on her own keeping everyone healed on trash pulls. During the bosses, I don't think trying to move her and myself at the same time would have worked very well. Not hard to keep myself out of AoE range but in range to heal the party.

Since Eos (and Selene for that matter) are only healing and buffing the party, the issue of AoEs on the wrong mob really isn't an issue. Same thing applied when I used the WHM automaton on PUP in FFXI.

My fairy is is on semi-auto pilot. I tell her when to use her AOEs. I hate wasting an AoE regen!!
