For those of us who had many level 75 jobs, most of which had gear that was usable on many different jobs, the entire level cap increase and implementation of Empyrean (AF3) Gear from Abyssea was rather overwhelming. Trying to get the seals, especially for more than one job and especially when you don't have much time to play anymore can be very overwhelming if not impossible.
I myself have a bad schedule and can not play much at that, so finding help to farm these seals is incredibly difficult and since the implementation of Abyssea I've only been able to get a couple of pieces finished. When you look at how much better the simple +1 Empyrean Armor is from the previous options it is leaps and bounds ahead of anything else.
I don't care anymore about being ultimate, but I would at least like to be "up to par". I think having to put all that work into the +2 Empyrean Armor to be truly ULTIMATE is to be expected.
Now, please read the following carefully.
You did very well and created some interesting quests that people can log on and do in their own time to gain these seals. You've done a lot of good changes in recent times, like Fields of Valor and other things to give people who can not play much some options to feel as though they can progress a bit.
You added quests to obtain these +1 Empyrean seals, the thing is some are implemented perfectly, while others are so much harder they aren't worth doing.
I personally was able to solo one of my body armors doing the quest in Abyssea Altepa called "Slacking Subordinates". In fact, there are five different jobs that can obtain their body seals from doing this quest. It took me a long time doing it, but I didn't have to stress out about not having time to dedicate and was able to progress on my own time.
Likewise, there is another quest called "Flown the Coop" in Abyssea Attohwa that is about the same difficulty and takes a good bit of time as well. It took me a long time doing this quest, but again I was able to procure the seals I needed to upgrade from being persistent with it for a long time.
Now, my question is, why are there some quests like this for many different Empyrean Armor Seals for some jobs, but for other jobs the quests are so difficult that it is not reasonable to do them. For example, farming very hard to get and rare items that you will end up possibly needing hundreds of. Or killing certain notorious monsters.
If one job is able to get their seals through a quest with the difficulty and time requirements as "Slacking Subordinates" and "Flown the Coop" why can't all jobs enjoy such a quest?
If you are going to implement a quest like this for some people, implement it for all!
With this new Empyrean Armor, you have to get 8 to 10 seals, per piece, PER JOB. When you once had many jobs that were well equipped, this can become rather overwhelming, especially if your play time is limited.
I find myself once more, standing around unable to get help to get something I need due to my playtime and schedule. I really enjoyed spending the time to get the seals from "Slacking Subordinates" and "Flown the Coop". I just do not see if you're going to do it for some people and some jobs you cannot do it at all.
Each Empyrean Seal should have a quest like these two quests for those who cannot dedicate so much time, do not wish to be ultimate but want simply to progress a little in the game. It already exists like this for some jobs, please allow such options to exist for all equally.
These quests were actually interesting and fun to me, it would be nice if there more like them for each job and seal and would make things equal for all. Again, why can some people obtain seals like this for select jobs while others cannot? If it exists, make it equal for all. The current quests that give the other seals not available from "Flown the Coop" and "Slacking Subordinates" could simply be revised to be more like them.
