That'd be pretty impressive since he's been dead for like 600 years.

They should do a reboot with Chris Columbus directing ALL of them. The first two movies are the best ones, but they could do with a new Harry Potter and Hermione. Can't act to save their lives.
She was pretty good in "This Is The End". Then again, she was playing herself, so I'm not sure how much that proves.

The other Chris Columbus.

First movie was pretty faithful to the book, from what I remember. I personally think they should have made the trolls part feel like they stalled for a longer amount of time. What did you find unfaithful?

This and this. I've watched the movies to waste a lazy Sunday here and there, but they could have been a lot better.

I've watched so many Family Channel "Harry Potter Weekends" I've lost count. But as a whole, the things listed on those sites would have had very little effect on the entire movie experience.

I'm reasonably certain he was talking about the first Hobbit film. Unless there's a scene in the first Potter book where they're captured by Trolls and stalling for time.

The movie was great (saw it last Friday), although very long. Damn you, 50 oz soft drinks! Anyway, Desolation of Smaug is definitely better than the first movie. I missed some of the singing... well, I missed The Misty Mountains Cold... but the fact that there aren't 40 minutes of running around was a relief.

Interesting with Legolas in the mix. I liked the references to The Lord of the Rings.
