I always try to make my sims happy. Does that count?

I think the Simanitarian club includes people who have never killed a Sim on purpose. It does not exclude people who have had Sims die on them by accident, in spite of all frantic efforts to save their life. It excludes people whose Sims have died accidentally because they were left unattended.

I have never had a Sim die of old age. This used to be easy, because I could buy them immortality by keeping them happy for long enough. Now with Sims 3, I've been playing on epic time scale length, before discovering the option to switch off aging. I have a strong suspicion there's an unlockable from playing a sim's life cycle through on some sort of "Normal" game, but I''ve never unlocked it.

What's the point of playing God if you can't demand the occasional human sacrifices?

You used to be able to marry same sex couples in the Sims. Then they took the marriage option away from same sex couples. I haven't tested it lately to see if the Same Sex Sim Marriage option has been restored.

I only ever played that Facebook game.

I also owned one of the other ones but my PS2 didn't have the right memory card.

Social experiment next time I'm at my girlfriend's house because she owns the sims and I don't...

Fairly certain you can do SSM in Sims 3. I know at the very least you can make 2 women do woohoo. Repeatedly.

I know you can do SSM in Sims 2 and the original as well, since I've played both of those extensively. I'm too broke to get Sims 3, but I saw a Medieval expansion pack for it, and I want to try it soooo bad sometime!

Sims(3?): Medevil, isn't an expansion its a stand alone game IIRC. I don't remember it's like a law in my house that if i get to spend money on games, the wife gets to buy all the new Sims stuff. I remember back when i bought my PSP when they were new, It was only allowed if I bought my wife Sims 2 + all expansions at the time. Total It was like 600 dollars for PSP +1 game + all sims.

It's spelled Medieval. Smiley: tongue That's interesting though, I didn't realize it was its own game. I'll have to look into that, thanks.

Some of us actually pronounce it correctly or correctly to your standards. :)

Perhaps. I just have a huge pet peeve of people spelling things incorrectly when I've spelled them correctly in plain sight. I mostly have this issue with my real name and not actual words, but it's annoying nonetheless.

I highly recommend Sims Medieval if you are into Sims clothes, hair, and furniture. It's kind of like a short RPG game with a set number of types of quests for types of Sim'd jobs, such as Wizard, Monarch, Knight, Healer, Priest, etc. The healer is fun and accurate. You get to put leeches on your patients. Combat is entirely rudimentary and limited to the Monarch, Knight and spy.

One of the fun things is that you HAVE to choose a bad trait for your sim, such as glutton, gambler, drunkard, mean etc. I won't tell you which one is easiest to play. Lets just say that getting into fistfights, while fun, is a baaad idea for low level sims as you limp around slowly and unhappily for days depending on how beat up you are.

The bad thing is that you play the same short story over again. The good thing is that it trains you to be good at all the aspects of the game, such as discovering and gaining diplomatic control of other nations to open up more trading goods to be available for your Sim specialists. Sim's quests and fights are more technical, and dependant on judicious choice of the order of actions you take, rather than your skill as a computer combat fighter. It's more of a live action God Game. You never actually SEE any of the foreign nations, just the diplomatic map. Each training game unlocks a different aim, until you unlock the Sandbox version. At the point of unlocking the sandbox version, you won't know which of your favourite Sim creations you'll want to choose for each specialisation, you'll have so many you are attached to. However, whenever you want to change Monarchs, all you have to do is assassinate them! Smiley: grin

PS, don't forget to save each Sim as you create it, instead of jumping straight into the one training game with it. If it's saved, you can instantly choose that creation again for a variety of roles.
