Does "Safe Harbor Matching Contribution. In order to maintain "safe harbor" status, your Employer will make a safe harbor matching
contribution equal to 100% of your elective deferrals that do not exceed 6% of your compensation. This safe harbor matching contribution
is 100% vested" mean that if I contribute 6%, they'll match the 6%?

Yes, this means if you put in 6%, they match 6%. If you put in 8%, they match the first 6%. If you put in 4%, they match 4%.

Awesome, thanks. Smiley: thumbsup

Just wanted to make sure since I've had to search for ages since it feels like the info is so obscured.

My employer doesn't match anything. That makes me a sad panda.

We also haven't had bonuses, profit sharing contributions, or raises in about 3 years...

It's pretty great for me. I supposedly get all three (okay, the raises are a bit of a joke) and I'm a part-time retail worker :D

My company matches 35% up to 6% depending on profitability. In 2009, they matched. Last year they didn't. Remains to be seen if they'll match this year.

My work doesn't have a retirement plan, but I get more than enough compensation to sock enough away in my own retirement accounts. But I do wish there was matching contributions.
