It goes with the idea that if you're eating 4-5 small meals a day, it's a good call for portion.

My mom taught me to eat small meals where the protein is the size of the palm of your hand, carbs the size of my fist, unlimited steamed/non-fried veggies and fats the size of the tip of my thumb. Unfortunately, we're also Filipino so this isn't practiced very much.

Depends what the guidelines were for medium and large meals.

If you're eating the protein as a stand alone portion, then I totally agree. Depressing portion size, that.

But it's not bad when cut up into a one dish meal.

I ran across this article on CNN tonight. Thought it might be of use to some folks. Why gamers are a great fit at the gym.

Apparently you can get in if you have a friend in the beta who still has one of the initial beta friend invites available, assuming you posted that article somewhere(like Facebook) and said friend saw it and offered you an invite. Smiley: grin

I'll let you know what I think of the whole thing once I get into it a bit. Accepted a few quests so far, but sadly will not have time to actually do any of them til Thursday morning.

Correct. From what I've seen on the forums, it seems like they felt there was enough dietary stuff on the web already. It's just exercise, not even a calorie counter.

One more month down. At 224 now. Dropped a pant size, gotta wear a belt to keep them up now. Keep this up I'll be close to 200 by the new year.

I'm a little concerned in the back of my mind, everything I read said you shouldn't lose more than 2 pounds per week. But I'm at about 3. I wasn't expecting to drop as much this month because after the last couple months I added 100-300 calories, to slow it down a bit. That and the last month at work I've been stuck in the front office programming rather than working out on the shop floor building things.

But, I guess as long as I'm not starving, it's ok.

214. Lost 1 pound over Thanksgiving break. Luckily I was very busy working around the house that weekend to make up for the food I ate.

Still need to lose about 20 lbs to get back to a "normal" weight, but it's the first time I've been under 200 in the last half a year.

That was pretty much the story Smiley: laugh We all sat down to eat, he went into the bathroom, came back out a couple minutes later and calmly said "You should go look in the bathroom." The sink was off the wall but the pipes were still intact, so it was just sort of hanging off of it. We wanted to take pictures, but assumed it would probably be better not to have evidence of it.

We finished our meal and left about half an hour later.
