The 5th star requires a bit of history. On the origional UBB forum, it was widely assumed that no one would ever break the 3,000 post barrier. No poster had made it that far in the 4 years of existace thus far at the time, and everyone who came close burned out. It was widely believed that if anyone did hit 3k, they would find a fifth star. Angry hippo was the first to reach that mark, and there was much debate when at 3,001 no fifth star emerged. Did it exist? if so, where was it? As it turns out, there was in fact no actual fifth star in UBB. after 4, you just never got anymore. When the forum moved to the system it is on now, the post counts started climbing again. By this time I was nearing 10,000 posts, ahead of Jophiel but behind Smash. that brought up the whole 5th star debate again, only this time the first Matrix movie had been released. "There is no spoon". Exactly. So Danalog thought it would be hilarious to have the fifth star message say "there is no fifth star", especially since the text inclued the words "fifth star"

The 6th star message was a continuation of the joke.

How come my bookmarked posts link only to threads and not posts themselves? It makes finding the bookmark excruciatingly difficult in the 20+ page threads.

There was a thread like this before where you offered to reveal our notes. I didn't want to seem self absorbed then so I didn't ask. I'm fine with being self absorbed now. Any dirt on me?
