I haven't posted here... well, it's probably been years and years now, circa '03 or so, on the old forums. Coincidence would have it that I would come lurking at this moment.

Anyhow, I just wanted to express my own thanks and appreciation for everything this site has meant to me and to others over the course of the last ten years. From the time when EQ was (virtually) the only game in town, through DAOC, to WoW, and now into the great beyond, this has always been a good source of information to those of us too lazy to find out for ourselves.

Thanks Alla. You can be proud that this site, in many ways, rose above the games and genre that you covered. Now THAT'S a legacy.

I don't care about the banning of Katie. Posters act like ******** on a regular basis. Why should she be treated any differently?

I don't care if she's banned, either, but I think it's sad to bring her drama into this thread. She apologizes to Allakhazam for her outburst, then adds another outburst in small text?

Alright, Katie, we're all sad to see Alla and Illia go, it sucks, and I'm sure that not one of us is happy to see them go, and, if what you say is true, then yes, there should be at least some public outrage on the forums.

BUT,


you really need to shut the **** up and show a little ******* tact and realize that there is nothing you can do to change what has happened. I like you, I really do, even a few years back you were one of the more entertaining posters in my eyes, but you need to know when to shut your goddamn mouth. You're refusing to pay any money for premium, you're refusing to allow the site to receive ad revenue from ads that you will be blocking, claiming that you won't give the site any more of your money and you implore us to do the same. But you forget one thing: What do you think helps to pay Kao, DF, Pikko, Usagi, Railus, Rale, Tamat, Calthine, Nizdaar, Wordaen, Angsty, Instigator and many others who have nothing to do with the ousting of Alla and Illia?

I will continue to pay my premium, not just because I am loyal to a site that has been useful both as a distraction at the harder times in my life and also as a useful tool while playing EQ, WoW, and EVE, but also because, well, as I've said, while I am not happy to see Alla and Illia go, I'm sure neither of them would especially like to see a site that they have put so much work into begin to fail because of some stupid mass protest at their leaving and being fired(respectively). Yes it sucks, but it would be a shame for years of hard work to go to waste. People can still get a lot of help from the site, and I'd liek to think that they'll still take a certain amount of happiness from that.

So seriously, get off your goddamn high horse and show a little respect.


To Alla and Illia:

Thank you for creating one of the most useful and entertaining websites I've ever frequented. I know I didn't always treat you, your staff and fellow admins, or the site with the respect deserved, especially in my early posting days, and I'd like to apologize for that. I wish both of you the best in everything to do in the future. We'll all miss you guys.

Whats funny about this is that Katie truly believes people care what she thinks and are intimidated by her.
