Though I am yet another nameless face in the crowd, I too am grateful to you Allakhazam. You created a wonderful resource here that has helped me in more ways than I can count, not the least of which is helping me meet the vast majority of my in-game allies. A heartfelt Thank you, and best wishes for your future!

I think I have posted less than 20 times over the last 10 years, but I can't begin to count the number of times I used the sites as an EQ resource. Many thanks for all the hard work and best of luck with the next project (whatever it may end up being)!

Farewell Alla.

I want to see him post in this thread as a sage/non-admin/etc. Just for posterity's sake.

If and when his account loses admin privileges, all of his posts will look normal.

Thank you Alla for creating such a great community. When I worked an office job years ago I was at one point forced to install a "Boss key" because of my addiction to this place.

Best of luck to you and I wish you great success in your future endeavors.

Man, I'm so behind on the farewells. I'm epic fail...

Bye Alla! Thanks for all of the help you've given me all of the times I've "whined" about random stuff. Because... you know... we don't do that. I'm sure you dealing with a lot of people's issues makes it harderd to remember these things, and it's understandable, but I'll always remember the help you've given.

Good luck to all of what you do (or don't do). You'll surely be missed. Smiley: flowers

I don't get it. Why would someone who is so obviously appreciated be forced out of the job he created for himself?

I'm all like wtf...

Can we even call this place "Allakhazam's Forums" any more? I wont live a lie!

Seriously though, I can't see why you'd go unless maybe someone offered you millions or you have something way better lined up, I hope whatever happens it's a step up for you.

So Alla will come back with a vengeance, rebuild the crumbling Alla empire, and be viewed as a demi-god?

Sweet.

I was thinking more of the hiatus he took in the 90s. But yeah, tough guy.

Smiley: dubious

Look, I'm as sad as anyone about this turn of events, but it's the risk one takes when one sells a business. It's not like the evil banker consortium forced him out of town.

Right. He sold his soul, by which I mean a business he owned, to the devil, by which I mean the guys who bought the site, for money, by which I mean stuff that can be exchanged for goods and/or services, and now he's going to hell, by which I mean he's quit his job and is forced to suffer unemployment with nothing to comfort him but his vast piles of cash, for it.

I'm really late to the party, but thanks for not banning me on the countless times when you (and the rest of the staff) could have. I'm sure that there were times when you were tempted.
