COLUMBIA, Tenn. - A jury late Wednesday has found the Maury County woman charged with her husband's death guilty of criminally negligent homicide.
Rebecca Bargy, 26, faced a charge of second degree murder after her husband, 29-year-old James Bargy, was found bound and gagged in the couple's home in late April 2008.
Autopsy results show he suffocated.
Detectives said Bargy tied up her husband in a sex bondage game and then left.
James Bargy was found dead more than 20 hours later.
Rebecca Bargy testified Wednesday her husband's death was an accident and he asked her to tie him up.
She told the jury she had tied him up dozens of times and that she was "just following orders."
The jury deliberated for about four hours before finding Bargy of criminally negligent homicide, a lesser charge.
The charge carries a sentence of one to two years in prison.
Had she been convicted of second degree murder, Bargy faced up to 20 years behind bars.

Some clarification. She tied her husband up and left him there for 20 hours. She left him there because she went to have sex with her boyfriend. Guess where she met her boyfriend? World of Warcraft. I can only assume that she really needed that flying mount.
She also testified that this was not the first time that she tied him up and left him there. That he would ask her to do so, and she would usually place a pair of scissors by the bed. Did she do that this time? No idea. Mostly because the Maury County Sheriff's department is inept and did not photograph the scene of the crime.
Now, I have no problem with bondage. It does, however, seem a little odd to tie someone up and gag them, then leave them alone for 20 hours.
