BD, srs question. Follow

#1 May 18 2009 at 1:25 PM Rating: Default
You have posted in the past about how you like to frequent strip joints. I'm curious to know if your younger sister knows where you go and if it effects you with the thought that your sister may be just a few years shy of some of the women dancing for you? If your sister does know where you like to hang out has she ever voiced her thoughts about it?

Katie, do you assume there's something wrong with strippers? Serious question.

My sister doesn't even know what a strip club is and I plan to keep it that way. When I speak of going out, I merely say "I went to the club" or something similar. Some of you seem to forget at times that my sister has epilepsy. As a result, she lives a fairly sheltered life, compared to most children. I do my best to give her exposure to all walks of life, but sexploitation is one topic I don't plan on addressing any time soon.

Also, I should emphasize that I don't go to the club to spend lots of money on dances or at the stages. My friends and I sit at a table and converse with a few of our stripper friends most of the night (which is usually ~3:00AM - 6:00AM). We go for the beer and music, ******* are a bonus.

Yes, I have stripper friends. No I haven't forked any of them. Bite me.

I think mostly she just wants to be a ***** and has decided to try to pretend it's really tough love.

Not really. It was a WoW conversation I over heard earlier. Started with a toons name that had hooker in it and turned into a stripper/stripping convo. I had meant to ask BD before if his attendance at this kind of establishment influenced his younger sister in any way. We know he somewhat kind of dated one of the strippers. I guess more of what I'm wondering is would it effect him if his sister were to turn to stripping to pay her way through college or what ever.

If that's the case, I pity her for picking a subject that I really honestly don't care about. Smiley: lol

I won't go so far as to label a majority of them, but 8 of every 10 girls at the club I frequent have baggage of some sort. And the club I frequent is the most... um... reputable, yeah that's the word, of all the clubs in the area. I think it's just a life that breeds trouble and you have to be an incredibly strong woman to strip for any length of time and not get brought down by the people around you. Given that most strippers are <30 years old and relatively inexperienced in life, I guess it's an easy trap to fall in to.

That is what I was curious about. I didn't know how much of your personal on goings she was aware of and if in time her age or more of "coming of age" would change your habits.

Sure, I guess. Great body + low self esteem = prime pickins.

I've known a couple of women who worked their way through college stripping. One of them says if she'd known what the corporate ladder was like she'd have kept dancing a few more years.

One of the blogs I used to love reading was the hobostripper blog. She left a well paying job, was college educated and went back to stripping. It fit her life better and she traveled the nation following the money. I loved reading about her adventures and her carefree hobotastic type life. Really hippy type chick. She's since quit blogging and moved back to the boonies of Alaska, but before that I really loved reading her blog.

This is what I notice at my current job. I am the cleanest of all the people selling that sort of paper both drugs and hygiene wise. Now it isn't a job you have to stop doing at 30 so there are some who've been doing it for decades (as far as that goes), and really the only one I have any sort of private relationship with is clean at the moment, but intends to take methadone again when he enrols uni. Smiley: frown

I used to do it when I was 17, and back then I needed drugs to be able to do it, but it's not like that anymore and I earn a decent amount of money and have 100% flexible working hours.

Smiley: mad I'm sorry, I think I've needed to vent that for weeks and it seemed to fit when I started writing.

I sell newspapers on the underground. Sometimes I'm down there for 6 hours and don't notice weather changes and get wet. Smiley: mad

I'd just like to take the time to point out a myth to you guys.

If you don't hang out with your "stripper friends" anywhere outside of the club they work at, you do not have stripper friends. The strippers have done their job well, and have tricked you into continuing to pay them for being beautiful and scantily clad.

Also, Katie is a stupid *****.

If it didn't take brain power to manipulate a keyboard, I would assume Katie to be utterly brain-dead.
