Minnesota has two seasons, Winter and Construction. The house next door is having the front of the building peeled off or something. The house behind me, across the alley, is having their backyard dug up, and there's a house across the street and down a bit that is having some really noisy renovations done.

It's almost noon. I went to bed at 9am. I'm awake four hours early and I'm about to hulk out and rampage. Srsly nao.

Old Missus Janerkowski would hang her whites out every Sunday. We'd always go over there, because she had the best smelling detergent. One day, she had a red shirt in the wash, and it turned all her whites, pink.

Oh how we laughed.

And not ONE of them good looking. Why do you think I was pissed enough to make a thread about this atrocity?

I, on the other hand, can sleep through almost anything. Speaking of which...I should go get some sleep now. It's 2.5 hours past my bedtime.

I can sleep through anything but my dog. He kept sticking his nose in my ear and whispering sweet nothings. He does that when he's really gotta go to the bathroom, and it's ******* weird. I can't get to sleep with all the construction noise, but if I was still asleep, I wouldn't be in this problem.

My dog doesn't want me to be happy.

We're very much the same in Edmonton, except instead of construction season, we get road construction season. The cold winters and hot summers absolutely ravage our roads so they need extensive work year after year.

They closed off two roads parallel to each other, one on each side of our house. I'm still wondering if he was just being paranoid, but Leo told me one day, "I think the city is trying to box us in. If they close off one more street, I'm going to stay with my sister."

Leo is funny when he's under medicated.

Once the roads are destroyed, they can build barriers.

Once the barriers are up, they can begin the scientific experiments involving a murder.

Exact, same, thing, but with worse winters and hotter summers.
