When is the last time you cleaned it out? If it's recently I wonder if the Conficker botnet started spamming already.

I actually completely cleaned it out just a couple months ago. It went nuts like a week later.

I received a gift subscription to Discover and Mother Jones around Christmas. Since then, I've been getting junk mail from every single organization imaginable asking me to donate money; averages 10-14 pieces a week. Pretty ridiculous. Also, no matter how many messages I mark as spam, they keep coming into my inbox under different @live.com accounts. Smiley: mad

Has anyone tried using the wildcard for the name so it blocks all e-mail from whateversite.com. For example, see if *@sitename.com is allowed to be entered into block list so anything from sitename.com is auto-removed.

Yeah I placed an order with overstock.com 3 weeks ago and started receiving "daily specials" emails TWICE daily. The unsubscribe link conveniently didn't work. I finally emailed every possible address I could think of (abuse@, admin@,customerservice@, etc...) and I appear to be removed from their mailing list now.

I subscribed to this stupid "Shop It To Me" thing that's supposed to email you the biggest discounts in clothes and crap. Every time I bother to check, it's for 100 dollar boots or 80 dollar blouses. Uh...

Sorry may not have been clear enough, I get tons of spam (as does anyone with a semi-public email), the mail I was referring to though is snail mail.

Speaking of unwanted snail mail, is there any way to opt out of all that local "super saver" and "community coupons" type **** that comes on a daily / weekly basis?

Nah I think it's cause I have my address on my blog. The russians love to invade. I have to reject dozens of forum accounts from Russia, Latvia, and Belarus every day. It sucks because since they do it so much, I have to approve every single member by hand. :(

So I get a bunch of spam that's apparently sent by me . . . I marked it as spam and I get like 10/day but when I tried sending an email to myself it didn't go into spam . . . so is it a virus or what? XD

I use gmail though so it dumps spam automatically ever 3 days or something, still it's generally around 400
