My mom once had a (mild) stroke, didn't tell us for weeks and then said "What in the hell am I going to see a doctor for? So he can run tests and bill me $2000 to tell me what I already know? I'll worry about it next time."

Is your mom in the same area, Guen? That's a big factor as to whether you can request for a protective order as well. At the very least, you can file for harrassment.

Yeah, that's a given, but I'd rather it be some random encounter - a truck drivin' mama at the bowling alley, say. I'd prefer it be something Guen can laugh about rather than stress over.

God they are, I threw my 13 year old brother through the wall and all they made me do was cover it up with of that plastic weather sheeting for windows and some duct tape.

My Mom and I are best friends. I call her once a week and we shoot the crap for an hour or so. My sister and brother just call her when they need money or are in trouble. Needless to say, my motives are not to be the ideal son.

My parents are worth a fortune with all the businesses they own. So, should they drive off a cliff or eat bad chicken at restaurant, I'm set for life and the POA over their estate. ^^

Smiley: dubious I wouldn't put a smiley face after talking about my best friend's untimely death, even if they were rich and I was getting all their money. I guess I'm just weird because I'm not a money motivated person.
