That's seriously the nicest picture I've ever seen published of him. The press really hate him, don't they?
He is a lame duck pretender without a mandate to govern limping towards a huge electoral defeat.
We love him, oh yes we do ..
That's the problem when you're unelected.
Just to nip this in the bud before the technical aspects are discussed by another, I agree with you from a moral perspective. Sadly from a technical aspect, his party was elected and he can cling to that with his chewed hands till the day power is forced from his grasp.
Unfortunately Labour are in a mess. They cannot just depose him for another as the British public are highly unlikely to put up with 2 Prime Ministers who have never faced the electorate. He will lose the election by a landslide but its not clear if any replacement will limit the damage.
History will judge him as a blip in the political landscape. 'The desperate hanger on' until in all likelyhood David Cameron comes into power. He should have faced the country when he had the chance, he might have won and if he had lost he could have put the blame squarely on Blairs shoulders. Now all the problems are squarely in his court.
Brown is an example to all of us in "how not to ..."
