And I've still got to photoshop a practical piece to go with it!

I've got 1500 words to go... I'm tempted to just cut it short, I really don't know how to write this up, I've only ever done a media studies piece of coursework once before, in a very similar situation to this

I hated doing papers based on word count when I was in college. I prefer the "So many pages" papers. That way I could mess with the font and margins if I was running short.

Oh yes, I loved this.

"I want about 1 to 2 pages"

Ok, 3/4s of a page with double spacing and large font it is Smiley: sly

You can always just lie about the word count if you're that desperate to cheat...

Because I have compulsions about things like this, I have to write any and all papers in one sitting: doesn't matter if it's two days before due or two weeks. I think the longest I've done was about... 9k words? I'm surprised I've forgotten

I don't know what I'll do with myself for theses.

It's not that I want to cheat, I just have no idea what the hell I'm supposed to be typing Smiley: lol

Try and cut it into chunks, do each in one sitting then take an editorial sitting to smooth it out?

I'm a very concise writer, but I regularly have problems staying under the word count alloted. Questions generally have too broad a focus to answer correctly under the limit provided.

Makes me twitch just thinking about it. I guess it could help if you clearly delineated various sections.

Wasn't talking about you. I have no idea wtf you write about in media studies. 3k might be a crapton. It does puzzle me a bit as to why your introduction cannot count towards the limit though. It's a necessary and difficult part of any paper; there's no reason someone should just ignore the effort that goes into it.

Kind of makes me sad actually... introductions are one of the hardest things for me to write.

Do you normally answer prompts for papers or invent topics?
