I need to go pick up my new contacts and my first pair of glasses in a decade. The optometrist was horrified that I've only worn contacts for that long.

I'd've rated up a few of your posts but my aim is bad and I don't want to rate down worthwhile posts.
As for glasses, I'll probably go get a pair over the next few weeks, as well. Just not right now because I need to decide on my budget, and it's been 6 years or so since I got my current ones anyways.

I have some extra money sitting around and I think I might get some new glasses. Usually wear contacts, but there are days when I really don't feel like dealing with them.

Ive been trying to get my glasses perscription filled, I even found a nifty GUESS retro pair that made me squee but I keep ending up in places with slow service so after about 15 minutes of them waiting on folks who are just browsing over the chick who wants to buy & already knows what she wants...I walked out.
So all I got are contacts for now :/

I just got Kai glasses, darn things cost $300!!! She tried on over 20 pair and this ONE pair made her look adorable, so that's the pair we got. They insisted on "bullet proof" lenses. You know how kids are and she said they don't give kids glass glass lenses. Whatever, hurt my checkbook, but makes her look awesome, and her grades are coming back up.

The teacher refused to move her, but did tell me that Kai could get up to copy the board if she needed to. BS from my POV. Back when I was in my 1st year of Primary School the teacher refused to believe I had arthritis in my hands. Claiming I was "Too Young" and that I was just lazy, which is why my writing was so slow.
This was soon remedied when my mother too it upon herself to really lay into said teacher. Good times.

can you complain to the board? thats a really cruddy teacher. :( poor Kai. Why the hell did she sit her all the way in the back, is she some sicko Letourno type teacher?
I got new face-mounted optic photon deflection devices too. I figured it was time since I hadn't been to the optometrist in a dozen years.
