As bad as the whole Somali Pirate thing is, come on...

Pirates are back.

Really, all any kid needs now is some pixie dust and a creepy pseudo-pedophile captain and we may as well be in Neverland...

Unfortunately for the romantic Captain Hook, he never had the USN breathing down his neck. Furthermore a toothless Somalian, high off khat, is not the sort of image you get in Peter Pan.

I took a nap that started about 6pm and ended just before 3am. It was good! So I woke up and cooked breakfast for MrKatie and then sent him out the door to make the money.

Somali pirates are around, so now pirates are back in the world.
The cool kind, dvd pirates aren't the same...
Pretty sure most people loved pirates at one time or another, and I was thinking about this instead of writing my essay and thought, "hey! That's cool. Why don't we feed a croc a watch and have it follow them around..."

Tl;dr, Pirates are back, linked it with Peter Pan.

Get some sleep?

edit: apparently I need to learn to type faster to post in OOT

I was talking about this the other day. I wonder what this means for the Pirates of the Caribbean, now that Pirates have reemerged and people realized they are desperate and murderous, not romantic and freespirited.

Adults can discriminate between dealing with realities, and romantic daydreams, and the need for both in their places.

Oh rite, this is an Amer'can board. Carry on. Smiley: sly

My sister and I had a crate full of legos. They were fun until we started to lose track of them and then randomly find them while stumbling around in the dark trying to get to the bathroom late at night.

Yeah, **** legos. Just thinking about them makes the bottoms of my feet hurt.

I'm guessing they didn't transform, did they? I used to have a bunch of legos, but then they got moved to a storage unit to free up space so my mother could add more crap organize things and I've never seen them since.

When I was a child I dreamt of the slaughter of billions, the burning of cities by the thousands, and the extinction of the human race.

Mine did, however I took several minutes 'transforming' (Read: Rebuilding) them.

Unless you count Lego Bionicle . While fun, it just didn't have the same appeal.

They totally transformed. I had a lot of Lego hinges.

My favorite one was an airplane that kinda looked like the one Baloo flew in Tailspin.

The wings folded back into angel wings. As a robot he kinda looked like a Gundam. Smiley: thumbsup

And I grew up to design mechanical parts in 3D. Go figure.

Actually I just remembered, when I was bored in my CAD classes at college, I started making a library of 3D lego parts. I did them from memory, and they were pretty dimensionally accurate. I built a car out of them. Smiley: laugh

I had a lot of lego, though I have no idea where it is now. I had a pirate ship and a castle premade (well, not really, you had to put it together, but they gave you the bits). I kind of stopped when I reached ten, though, and I never used the more advanced lego. I
