I would comment but those comments would eventually lead to a mute, so I'll just post a meaningless picture at this time. You can take from it what you will.
I have no idea

I like mindel and BT, I really do, but they really brought this on themselves. You ask why the admins didn't keep it to PMs, but if they get called out and questioned in threads, if they don't respond in some way it looks like they're out of touch.

Granted if all they respond with is "BANHAMMER TYM!", that isn't good, but for the most part this isn't happening. DF especially is reasonable and communicative and always has been, replying to my PMs with stupid questions over the years. And she's not the only one I have experience with. All the staff members I have talked to have been nothing but helpful when adressed in the appropriate way.

Mindel's thread was a direct and personal attack on kao, belittling and mocking. The only thing acomplished by raising the tone of an argument is forcing the other side to raise the tone equally. For example, if you argue with someone and start to shout, they are likely to shout back. Common sense etc.

On the other hand, kao tends to be a little colder than the other admins, and doesn't bother to try explain himself in threads if they are just rants. This is his choice though.

Mindel and BT both mentioned how it's the admins role to change for our needs, but this is a community with hundreds of posters and readers. They can't change the rules for one persons disatisfaction. The world doesn't work like that. You know what you are paying for if you are buying premium. Just because you are giving this site a few dollars a month does not give you the right to demand a change in the way it is managed.

Like I said, we all come here, and the way the admins should work is as they see fit for the good of the community as a whole. And if you disagree with the way things are run, PM them. Like it was already said, making a thread in a public forum is like shouting at a cashier in a supermarket. It's just breeding bad feeling between the community as a whole and the admins, who for the most part just try to moderate arguments and prevent things from getting too heated.

Hope this doesn't go on and on... And realise the irony of hoping that and making a post like this...

We're not talking about BT and Mindel anymore. We're talking about the useless sack of crap that is Senjiow and his impotence when it comes to take responsibility for his own actions.

Where is Senji, anyway? With his oppressor gone, shouldn't he be posting threads about the proper way to discipline a child? I think it would be a fruitful discussion, considering the state of the boards atm.

Oh ok. I hear he murders children and drinks their blood. Then paints himself in it and runs through the night, gloating.

I'm sorry Guenny, but if you want to make fun of Senjiow beating his children, you now have to post that in the Asylum.

Every time I see this thread's title I get a little Church Lady "well isn't that special!" reaction.

Huh, and I was quoting Blazing Saddles minutes before Dom DeLuise died.

Obviously I'm plugged into the zeitgeist.

Brb, using my powers for good.

As has been said: Two wrongs don't make a right. There have been times in the past where a poster has just stopped posting for a few days, and people eventually discovered that they got the mute button hit.
