Hard contacts hurt my eyes. ; ;

Making a thread to complain. I'm going to miss glasses; they made me look intelligent.

Sunglasses are the only reason I wear contacts. And blowjobs.

That's so true. I hate it when she has to stop and readjust her glasses.

Or, you could always do what I did and stab your eyes out and not worry about glasses, contacts, or monocles. Hello, my name is Oedipus. How are you doing today?

BS. I've worn contacts for 18 years give or take, and I far prefer them to glasses. Not that I'm vain (though I am awfully sexxy) but it's just glasses are an annoyance. They fog up in cold weather and they are horrible for any sort of physical activity.

I've never worn hard contacts though, always soft.

Apparently hard contacts aren't so bad once you get used to them, but trying them on (even with anesthetic) made my eyes burn awfully, and there's always that nagging feeling of something being in your eye.

Soft contacts weren't an option for me, otherwise I would have chose them for the comfort factor.

Lucky. I asked for soft lenses at first, but apparently with my astigmatism, the lens would likely be spinning (was what I was told, anyway). My perscription isn't terribly strong but soft-lenses still weren't recommended.

Though the whole "gas permeables last years" seems to be a nice bonus.

I'd look into them, but I was told I have an near-spherical cornea (fu‌ck if I know if that's too much of an aberration) and that soft lenses wouldn't stick to it very well.

Edit: In all honesty, I suppose I really don't remember what he said.

Edit 2: Oh yea, he said I could, but the vision wouldn't be quite as clear, and I'm a sucker for clear vision.

I went over 8+ years with bad eye sight. I ALWAYS told my parents i had head aches and that i was due to my sight.
Never did they take my word for it.
Then one day the family decided to go get their eyes checked (mainly because my father has this odd virus thats from Bat ****, and it gives you blind spots...so he has had lasers to the eyes...man his Scars on the back of his eyes are SWEET...).

I failed. Should have been wearing glasses for who knows how long.

Mother fails. She tried contacts but didn't like the way they felt (because she is wacky, and wore the wrong size..) And wont go back to get glasses.

Father: passes with flying colors, but he thought he needed glasses because stuff was getting "blurry". It was just him get old.
lol@getting old.

I have an astigmatism myself. Soft contacts aren't an option when you're younger. My optometrist told me I had to wait until I was 20 before it'd be a good idea, so I did. Hell of a difference.

By the time I'm 20, though, I'd assume I'd be used to the gas permeables, so then I wouldn't be bothered by the harder plastic, and given my awful memory, I wouldn't have to remember how old the soft contacts were.

I mean, for crissakes, today I told a friend I had Guitar Hero III, and she gave me this funny look because she was playing it with me this weekend. I have the memory of an old lady.

Texas'll do that to you. It's why I told my GF that we couldn't move there if we get married.
