Just the other day we went for a walk with our dog Billie. Billie ran ahead as we followed the small stream on our land. We started to hear Billie bark. When we arrived at the spot where Billie was barking we saw a large turtle in the center of the stream and Billie was still barking at it.

I think the site is vtwinmomma.com that has references to which bikes can be lowered, or come low enough, as well as what shops can do it.

Wife is a biker as well, had to do it to hers.

Speaking of bikes:

My dad's a biker.. and wants to buy me one to go on trips with him and such (I told him it wasn't a big deal to me and I wasn't buying something I can't ride year round that isn't watersport related).

So, more to my question.. are the Non-Touring model Harleys ok for long trips? The only thing I've ever owned was a crotch rocket and it vibrated the holy fUck outta me, making hourly stops a necessity due to my *** going completely numb.

If you want a bike that doesn't vibrate, a Harley is probably not your best bet. Maybe a Honda or Yamaha, unless your Pops is one of those that would rather slam his own ********* in the window sill than ride with someone on a *** bike.

Edited as I realized the previous statement made little sense.

When you say non-touring, I'm assuming you mean still a crusier, but not a full blown jobbie with the ferring, the recliner seat, stereo system, etc. You can still manage long trips fine, though I would recommend at least a snap on windshield for safety sake. Nothing like having a loose object fly at your face while doing 80mph to make you a believer. As far as comfort, you can get special handgrips that will cut down on vibration, even a rigged cruise control. Most important is a good seat. I did a 1600 mile trip on my bike this summer and it still has the stock seat on it, I had to stop every time I got gas and walk around a bit to loosen up, and at the end of the day I was pretty beat. A custom seat can make a world of difference.

Smiley: thumbsup Awesome.

So, basically.. it all comes down to accessorizing it for comfort? I really really really want the Harley Night Rod Special. It's in the VRSC family.

Squeezing a bike that nifty out of him is going to be a chore though, if possible Smiley: laugh

Those do look really sweet. I prefer more of a chopper look, but the Night Rod looks almost good enough to forgo my preferred style.
