Disfigure

Unless the tongue is going to heal whole again, yeah, I'd say it qualifies. You're welcome to disagree and I imagine that you will but it's completely fair in my mind to call it a mutilation.

It is indeed fair to call it a mutilation, body modification is 100% opinion in it's own right. It won't heal on it's own, but there is a simple procedure to put it back together again if ever desired by using a scalpel to shave the inside skin of the forks away and suturing it back together.

I guess that Doing something that is Very dangerous and can cause you "Issues" with employers and more in life is a completely intellegent thing to do?
Self mutalization can be considered a sickness.

I dunno. If it's controlled self mutilation (or mutalization) done by a professional, it's OK in my book.

PIMP MY TONGUE

Large gangsta guy: Yeah, see? We could put some spoilers on here, fit in a mini radio in this molar here. A hot tub at the back there next to your saliva glands so you can bring your hos back for some fun, yeeeah. This sh*t's gonna be proper tricked out. *********
You forgot to add Hydrolics to his tonsils.

I saw a guy walking in the street with your avatar on his shirt. I was like "RJ!?" and he was like "<grunt>" so I beat a hasty retreat.

The difference is, it doesn't have an effect on anyone but myself, nor does it debilitate me in any way. I can talk fine, it's only noticeable if I stick it out, you lose no movement or control of the muscle-tissue..

Without fingers, you're right ******* Seriously. Stupid comparisson.

Yah, it's dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. And you'd be an idiot to do something like this without prior knowledge.

It's a SURGICAL PROCEDURE. I spent 3 years while I was getting my first aid certification talking to surgeons, physicians, and even my dentist (who does the procedure with a laser, kinda cool!) to make sure I had the supplies, incisions, and after-care well in hand.

As for issues with "employers and more in life," not particularly. It's never stopped me from getting/keeping work, and as I said, it's only even noticeable if for some reason I'm sticking my tongue out at you.

Dude, you're a freak. But that's ok, because you're happy with it and that's all that really matters.

And I'll be honest, I'd never hire you for anything with in our company. Except maybe as an accountant/controller, because they never see day light anyway.

True story:
I have a friend thats very tatooed. Hes got some awsome tatoos. Most are Dr Suise
One of his legs has nearly every major book char on it. He kept trying to get hired for another better job. Always being turned down. I suggested he Hide his tatoos and go into interviews. He got the job. However, when he showed up showing them? Hum, seems the next layoff he was first in line to go out the door.

Oh, also, the healing process on it was great. :D Within 24 hours I was able to eat solid food, by the 2nd day I was enjoying pizza without discomfort (and regular cleanings.) Healing time, while doing proper, regular rinses, was only.. 6 days total for the wound to completely close.

The hard part was 2 days of reciting tongue-twisters to re-learn proper pronunciation.

As usual Jophiel said what I was thinking.

I don't get body modification. It makes me uncomfortable, mostly because it looks like it freaking HURTS, and I tend to have a strong sympathy response.

So in answer to the OP: I can't give an opinion as to whether you should do more of what I can't fathom any sane person doing in the first place.

Here are a few little tips that I think will help you:

1) If Mindel says it, it's right.
2) If you say it and Mindel agrees, it's right.
3) If you say it and Mindel is neutral, it doesn't matter.
4) If you say it and Mindel disagrees, it's wrong.
5) If you don't know what Mindel thinks about a subject, it's okay to ask her what your opinion should be.

To you, and those that have given genuine suggestions/thoughts on the original post, thanks! :D

I'm waiting now for something from BT on one end of the spectrum or the other, I really can't decide how that's gonna go.

(I've got a hetero-crush on you BT, seriously. Your posts generally crack me up.)
