Pretty much, yea.
When I was really little, I was surrounded by like 3 different languages other than English though (Polish, German, Czech.)
I learned to somewhat talk in all five, but nothing fluently. (Things like asking all my babysitters for things like food, drinks, and candy. )

When they started teaching phonics in school I failed with a capitol PH, but I don't blame my shortcomings on anything but myself. Admittedly I'm not that good at writing or spelling, and I never was a great student until I became a jeweler...
But I can pick up the basics of a language more quickly than most people and I do put in the extra effort to not seem like a cretin (most of the time, heh.)

Overall I think I'm pretty average now.
The funny thing is, if you think my posts suck now, you should see them before I rewrite them 5+ times.
